Why is it when anyone complains about their tax money going to illegals, pro-amnesty people automatically?
Do some people in this country really hate their fellow Americans this much?
I am adamantly opposed to illegal immigration, however, I have a decent job; in no way would they be able to do what I do. However, it seems as though the pro-amnesty bunch automatically thinks that you are some welfare recipient lying on the couch.
Why can't they see what this is doing to our lowe income people? Or, do they only see what is good for them and screw everyone else?

I really don't think that these people are "pro-amnesty". There's a study out there that if a person makes $75,000 or more that anything having to do with illegal immigration and employment really does not affect them.
As far as welfare goes and people saying that people on welfare will not do that type of job. There are some people who would probably do that type of work for minimum wage. However when you factor in the cost of rent. utility bills, food, clothes, expense of going to and from work (either by public transportation or their own vehicle) they are not able to make ends meet. So for some people there is really no incentive to get off of welfare. How can they get off of welfare when they will not make enough money to make ends meet? And yes there are those people who are on welfare and will abuse the system (and there are plenty of them).
I would put more of the blame on businesses. For one businesses know that one of the largest expenses a business has is payroll and payroll taxes. That's one reason so many business (anywhere from mid-sized to large companies) are moving to countries like China where they can pay someone 50 cents a day and have them working as slaves working 12 hours with no breaks no vacation no sick time and no health care.
Businesses who cheat the system can pay lower than the minimum wage, abuse their illegal employees, and commit tax fraud all outside the purview of government. An undocumented worker does not necessarily know his rights under U.S. law, and would tend to be afraid and reluctant to contact authorities regarding abuse and exploitation. There really is no tax incentives for businesses to have fair wages and health care provided to their employees. So businesses continue to cheat the system and go on happily with their tax breaks.
I don't think it's they see what is good for them and screw everyone else. I think it's more if it doesn't affect them who cares.

Because we are too kind to tell them to kiss off and earn their own way. We give, give, give, but never have I ever heard one person say thanks. And, I mean this not only for the illegal aliens, but for all of the people around the world that benefit from our charity. The average middle class American does not recieve any government aid, we just keep paying in, in addition to all of our charitable contributions and volunteer hours. Many of us have good educations, and decent incomes, and our taxes that we pay in are proportional to that extra that we make. I know this will tick off some people - but its true - we are actually very generous as a whole.
i give 2 flips what they think about anything. as long as they are going to have a closed mind to the well being of this country, i don't want to hear what they have to say. i have a job, and i have a rental house i rent out. it is none of their business what each Americans are doing. i do not care if my tax dollars are going to a needy family who is down on their luck. as long as it is going to a legal citizen or American born so be it. maybe their just jealous they are not the ones living off the system.
I am middle class, and what I have, I worked hard for without benefits from the state. I don't appreciate my taxes going to anybody illegal, or citizens. I'm not in a position to be that charitable.
