Illegal work, with my own real social security number?

I am an international student, with one more semester to go. I need money for next semester. My status only allows me to work on campus, which has a maximum of 20 hrs/week, I need more than that! That's why I want to get an off-campus job. I know this is wrong, but I have no other choice. Anyone know if I use my own SSN to work and pay tax, will anyone trace me down and deport me?

Answer:
They're unlikely to track you down and deport you while you're working illegally. You'll get busted the next time you go to extend your visa or change your status based on a bona fide offer of employment. So, at first you'll feel like there are no consequences and you're getting away with it, but later on when you try to do things right you will deeply regret what seems like a minor transgression of the law. Repercussions of immigration violations are DELAYED, which is a bit part of why they are ineffective as deterrants.
Yep. You will be in violation of your visa. You will be deported for that. You are already in violation of your visa actually, because you assured the INS that you had enough money to cover the entire school year when they issued your visa. It is not wise to lie to the INS.
If you have signed legal documents that state that you can support yourself, thus a person that was not coming here to work (except for a part time job on the campus) - to work would be a violation that very well could get you deported.

I would suggest contacting your parents over taking the chance of being arrested and what could come from such an arrest.
I am not sure how to do it but can't you apply for a work visa? Check with INS and see how.
You will be in violation of your visa dude don't do it
No.You will not be able to work because you have a special ssn that has certain specifications. My suggestion is to get a job off campus under the table. You'll be making good money, enough to pay for your schooling.
I dont know if youll get deported but they will be able to know that you are working if you use your ssn
