Should i have learned to speak Spanish instead of English when I came to America?
Answer:
If I go to France, I would be expected to learn and speak French, same thing if I went to Japan... China, etc... why are people allowed to come here and speak any other language except English?
You're being sarcastic, not "ironic". =)
Personally, I speak both. Why not? Many people in European countries speak multiple languages. I can manage two for my own betterment. English isn't the official language here, anyway.
HAHA your funny...
I do think it would be in EVERYONES best interest to learn a second language tho.
WHy else do they offer them in schools?
Actually no, since you have no clue and I would like to inform you, one of the conditions of this bill is that you learn English.Your suppose to already know that, Einstein
Yes, it is starting to look this way...
Also be prepared for the North American Union between Mexico, the USA and Canada...because this bill legalizes it...it is just being called the "Security and Prosperity Partnership"...or the SPP or the "Prosperity Partnership" in the bill right now. Don't believe me? Then go to page 210 and 211...has it all right there... Congress never voted for the SPP...it was something that Bush entered into in 2005 without as much as a blink of the eye. There are some states who have legislation to try to stop it...but if this bill goes through then it LEGALIZES the SPP and then degrades our sovereignty as a nation.
You need to learn English. You see your question is grammatically wrong. It is obvious that in America they speak the English language.
No you did the right thing in learning English, you see that's the problem, they can't live in their own country so they come here but are not smart enough or are to arrogant to learn it. {English that is} AAnd by the way Welcome....
Well, if you spoke Spanish you could probably learn English for free. If you want to learn Spanish and you speak English, it will cost you $$
Well your name looks like it's in Russian. So you probably can get by speaking Russian if your on the West or East coast. There is a lot of Russian speaking communities where a lot of people still do not speak English. I went to undergrad on the East coast and there is quite a lot of Eastern European communities where the people have their own grocers, places of worship, newspapers, TV and radio stations. Plus a lot of the local governments have information in at least4 different languages. English, Spanish, Russian and usually Mandarin Chinese. I'm sure someone from Eastern Europe could get by with out speaking English or Spanish.
russian is so much cooler than english. at least from a typographical sense.
Well, to improve your knowledge you can learn a second or even a third language. English is not the official language of the USA.
By the way, when the pilgrims came, do they all learn to speak the language of the many tribes that lived in North America?
No, they brought English with them even though they came here to live.
