her GC you can claim she isn't fit to travel back to UK or
there is no one in UK to look after, even if there was there is
nobody now.

yah, she can. Within 3 months of applying for her residency she should get a work permit, also known as a temporary work permit. There shouldn't be too much of a problem if she overstays if she's in processing.
She needs to go back to the UK. Then you file the paperwork and she waits her turn. I hope you get her here soon.
My daughter married a Brit. Following all goverment regulations so the person is not threatened with deportation takes A LONG TIME and oh, probably, so far, over $3,000. Even getting a driver's license with a green card was a *****. Really difficult to witness the beaurocractic process knowing that Mexicans are hop, skip, jumping into the US freely. AND, getting away with it! Don't know why you want to do this - GB is looking better every day as an option to life in the US. Maybe, instead, you should join her there. Wouldn't take long to pick up that cute British accent. I mean my son-in-law can sell an American, particularly females, anything!
