It is a funny cartoon but I do not find it very factual. Historically, Latinos have been democrat anyway so we need not worry about them converting to the democratic party we need to find ways of getting them to leave the democrats and come over to the right side of the force and leave the dark side behind.

The big problem is big Business. They have hired illegal aliens - Swift & Co (Meatpacking plant raids) knew months in advance that the raids were coming, yet they still had all those illegals.
The only way Big Business can survive the illegal alien situation (without losing money) is to have the illegal aliens get amnesty.

but regarding big business, if you give amnesty, you wll still have an illegal problem. once granted, the illegals will be given the safeguards afforded legal workers and with the rise in pay, do you not think those businesses that hire illegals will suddenly change? they will hire the new illegals who come here.

And.. I am a latino immigrant who happens to be neither democrat nor republican. Historically, immigrants tend to come from right-wing conservative oppressive governments, so, given the two choices here, we tend to go with the lesser of two evils.
