Oohh wait, you know, I can't speak english very well so if you need to communicate with me you should really learn spanish, although I appreciate you paying for my children to learn english in your schools. This is pretty simplistic but unfortunately facts and figures don't mean anything so I have to resort to this.(The low wage tax contribution does not begin to pay for all this)

It costs citizens additional hundreds of billions of tax dollars at every level: local, state, and federal. It gobbles up billions of our charitable contributions. And much of that money ends up siphoned out of our economy and into offshore accounts. Illegal aliens, over half of whom work "under the table" with neither job nor income reported (nor taxed), are not counted as employed or unemployed. But some of those day-labor and off-the-books "job-lets" would be "real" jobs - available to American citizen job-seekers - if employment regulations were enforced. Illegal aliens can get away with tax evasion, et al., which citizens cannot. In short, we have too many workforce entrants and too few jobs created. The ratio works out to roughly 7-10 workforce entrants per job created. If all illegal aliens depart or are deported, all legal immigration halted, and all temporary employment visas abolished, we still have a problem with more US-born workforce entrants than new jobs created. Illegal immigration damages our country and our citizens every day at every level. And not even the attacks of 2/26 and 9/11 have awakened many Americans to the vast dangers illegal immigration poses to our selves, our families, our communities, our society, our values, our principles, our civilization. A much better idea is to have each country take care of its poor, if this happened we nor any other country would have a illegal alien problem.------ The same can be said of enforcement, if each country emforced all its immigration laws, we would not have a problem.

they are criminals, they do effect our economy and our education system, they bring drugs, illnesses (because of not being properly immunized), we have too many American citizens in need of help and jobs. immigrants refers to someone who came here legally, not ones who cross the border illegally, these are trespassing criminals!! no money should be wasted on criminals like these for any reason, we are not responsible for their families!!!
They ruin our children's schools and drain programs our own people need. To me that is much bigger of a problem then the $1200 more per year or so I pay in taxes. Our children's future IS their education, and their children are NOT more important than our own.
There are simply too many, and they are too poor to pay their way to mitigate the impact in any substantial measure, even for those who do pay taxes. That is why every country in the world limits how many poor immigrants they take.
I would rather use that money to help American people wouldn't you. Then once we get all of the American people taken care of, which will never happen, then we can take care of them.
I do not hate illegals because I understand why they want to come here. I know they feel that they have a better chance at life in the US, but there are laws that need to be followed to create this better life. I do not consider 25 illegals crammed into a 3 bedroom townhouse a good life. Also as much as people whine the deficit created by illegals is only 3 percent of our annual defict yearly. 10 billion out of a 300 billion dollar deficit is not that much. My problem is first people who participate in illegal immigration are being selfish, there are billions of poor people in the world and believe it or not much worse off than the poorest mexican, who want a chance at a better life but understand that they have to follow laws inorder to do it. What illegals are doing is butting in front of a large line. Just think how angry people get at night clubs and amusment parks butt in front of them. It is the same thing for immigrants. Second illegals are really giving themselves false hope. With the prices in the US compared to their wage the illegal life is not all sweets and gold. You work in conditions that are not right and live under a constant state of oppression. really their life is not much better than living in Mexico. Illegal migration helps only the rich and negatively affects the rest of the people including illegals.
Don't you realize that taxes don't come from the government, but from the citizens of the United States? So... what makes you think that the money the government has & is spending on illegal immigration does not affect American life. You sound exactly like these Gas companies that say that the high prices of gas are not affecting the people. As for the government spending money to help the illegals... You've got to be out of your mind! The government needs to spend "legal citizens" money on helping "legal citizens"... that's it. that's all!!! If you think that the money the governement spends on illegals does not affect everyone , then you are crazy ! There is nothing wrong with wanting to come here to work but it should be done LEGALLY.
That's what you (and others who think like you) would like to think. And some of the ignorance your fellow posters are spewing is insane too. Americans too lazy, booze it up, and rape children. Every Mexican I've been around (excluding the lazy) are the boozers and rape just as much or more as others who fit that character.
Like it or not - illegals aren't here because of lazy Americans. It's because American government passed bills and laws to legally fire Americans so they could replace them with illegals who'll work for less pay. And they're not just here to feed their families either.
And quite frankly if illegals will work for less pay - they'll do anything out of desperation. There are some (and you'd have to agree) who are here looking out for themselves. Who are here without drivers licenses, vehicle insurances, who are stealing, robbing, raping, killing, selling drugs, infecting others with diseases, STDs (HIV included), living off American programs that were set up for Americans. Who are just as corrupt as the Mexican government is towards their people. And you don't think this effects American life in general.
I can only imagine how many of the illegals who are here - had gone into Mexican political government instead and change it to help all of your own in Mexico with creating jobs and help the poor. Instead they come here - really have no rights or say in American policies as illegals - yet march and demand them. Could that be why some Americans hate illegals?!
As the poster said - where do you think the government gets all that money? From the American workers who pay into those coffers. Also most of that money doesn't exist just yet, as the future American children will have to pick up the tab when they get older and get jobs. So your misconceptions of the American government having so much money to spend is your false ideas of what the truth is.
I think it would be wise if our government put that money towards the poor Americans and the Americans they helped displace by funding and backing illegals that are here in the first place. And if illegals want a government to finance them, and feed them and their families - then your native country Mexico should be doing that for you. Not American Government.
Because I don't make enough to "survive" yet I make too much to qualify for assistance. I am a US citizen and work legally full-time.
