Immigrants are already here. We are more than 12 millions of immigrants that clean your house, fix your garden, build and fix your house, serve your food and even help you in your legal needs.
I am a Mexican attorney, and I am part of those 12 millions of immigrants living in USA illigally. I would be more than willing to go to my country, but US CITIZENS need me here. I help them with their divorse cases. 90% of the people I help are white, 10% are latinos. I don't understand why some people are so afraid of giving us legal status when we are already here

I still haven't heard any complaining about how "America" is spending 2 BILLION dollars on the Iraqi war PER WEEK! ... not counting the reconstruction of Iraq. 96 BILLION A YEAR ... where's all these patriotic people now ? ... They can afford to spend 96 billion on a war that was started for no reason...but the country is not able to provide it's citizens with descent health care? (stop blaming everything on illegals!)

You should not be rewarded for breaking the law to enter this country when there are thousands upon thousands who are trying to enter legally and can't get in.
Excluding you (since you seem to have a job) the other 11,999,999 illegal Mexicans are sucking up our tax money through health care and other socail services.
You and the rest of the 12 million need to come in legally. The economic impact of you leaving our houses dirty is better then us US tax payers paying for your babies.

Do you think no Americans would take the jobs that illegals take? Believe me there are alot of unemployed people that would be glad to work construction,mow lawns and wash dishes. There are people starving in this country that need work and can't find it.

I believe U.S. citizens aren't afraid. They just think it is unfair that mexicans can jump the border illegaly and live free in the United States. They won't have to pay taxes or pay the government. If Mexican people can legally cross the border and go through the citizenship process thats fine with me. It's just the Mexicans coming over illegaly and living free not paying anything is outrageous. If a Mexican wants to become a U.S. Citizen they need to come over legally, become a citizen through the test, and most of all NEED TO SPEAK ENGLISH. I hate it when Mexicans speak Spanish in front of me. If they are going to live here they need to be American. Speak the LANGUAGE!! Don't break the law and demand to become Legal
You're an attorney and you couldn't qualify to immigrate legally? If you have no criminal record then I believe that someone with your education should be able to apply and be granted legal immigration. Other than that, you are as big of a law breaker as any other illegal and should return to Mexico and apply properly.

All citizens of the United States aren't afraid, but more so just angry. Illegal immigrants hop the border and don't have to pay taxes, or anything else, and yet they get to reap all the rewards of being in the U.S.
Some people in the U.S. say that the illegal immigrants are doing good for our economy. Will that be true if 12-15 million become legal? No! They wont be getting paid a few dollars an hour anymore, but minimum wage. This means that the minimum wage will drop back down, probably even lower than it was. Also, illegal immigrants, a large percentage of them will get on government programs, further draining the funding, which will eventually lead to higher taxes. Also, all the presidential candidates talking about universal health care might as well shut up, because with the thought of legalizing the millions of illegals, it would be a joke.
Illegal immigration is a slap in the face to all the immigrants who waited in line and became citizens. Now, many people will say white English illegally came to North America. This is true, but where would the Native Americans be now? They would have been sectioned off by Spain, France, and other countries.
I'm all for immigration, but LEGAL immigration.

The only problem I have is the ILLEGAL MEXICANS. Please get your facts straight. I don't want them to be citizens because they have broken the law and shouldn't be rewarded for doing so. I have researched what Mexico does to the illegals there, America doesn't act this way maybe we should then the illegals and LaRaza would actually have something to b*tch about. I don't care what you do, you don't do anything for me personally, I clean my own home & take care of my disabled mother without any help from anyone so quit acting like you have come in here to save the day and I should be so greatful that we ignore the fact that many of you have started your time in this country by breaking it's laws and flipping us off!

Most Americans are not fearful of anyone becoming a citizen. The problem is that there are way too many people here ILLEGALLY. If you are a parlegal you should understand that. I have great respect for anyone that comes here, LEARNS OUR LANGUAGE, gets a job, pays taxes and does it all legally. It is the illegals that we are sick of. How in the hell can you go to any country, not know the language, not pay taxes and demand anything?? You do not have the right to protest any damn thing!!! If there is something here you don't like, my advice would be to run back across the border like the cockroach you are!!
There are thousands upon thousands upon thousands who are waiting to enter this country legally. from the Middle East alone, and that does not count Europe and Asia. These people have escasped torture and imprisonment in their own countries and desperately need to relocate. So, should we just allow all of them entrance, too, to join the 12 million illegals you want here? And these people are also lawyers, doctors, engineers, professors. all needed in this country. But we don't need any more damn gardeners who put our hospitals on stand by because they are there in the ER waiting to have their next anchor baby.
Perhaps for the same reason illegal immigrants are too afraid to come here legally like good little boys and girls?
I'm not afraid of Mexicans becoming citizens at all, I say let them come, just like people from all other countries...as long as they do it legally...if they are here illegally, regardless of their country of origin then they need to leave.
And don't hand me that crap about they do jobs Americans don't want to do, like picking lettuce...last time I went to the grocery store almost all the produce (and all the lettuce) was from other countries.
Why do people like you keep using the word "afraid" when discussing this issue? American citizens are not afraid of illegal immigrants. Disgusted? Yes. Fed up? Yes. Want our laws enforced? Yes. Afraid of illegal aliens? Hell no.
We're not. Many Mexicans become legal residents of America every day, and you won't hear me complaining abou it. We just object to those aliens who come here illegally, then demand that we change the law in thier favor. That's just backwards. Come here legally. If there isn't enough opportunity to do so, that's a matter for international politics: elect representatives who will negotiate better immigration policies with America.

No we do not NEED you here, yes there are people who hire you, because it means more money in their own pockets. If you were not here, the law firm you work at would have hired someone else it just would have cost a little more.
Many areas have become dependent on hiring illegals, but it is because of their own greed, and they will have some trouble at first adjusting, but they will adjust.

If you are really a attorney, which I question that too, then you should know that not only you, but that 12 million are here illegally also. Instead of encouraging them to cross the border illegally, why are you not out rounding them all up and taking them back to their own country, and helping them file for legal status there. Being here already is not a excuse, for being a felon. We are not afraid of anything, as you and the 12 million have found out through this last dumb Amnesty Bill. We are tired of supporting all of you, and having our welfare system drained, and then have the idea that you and them can dip into our Social Security, that they never paid one penny into. As for as all the jobs you claim these illegals do, then why are they lying to people at the welfare office, telling them they are not working, and that the daddy of their dozen illegals kids, have no daddy at the house, so they can get all the freebies that was designed to help our own people. There are over 100 pages of attorney's listed in the yellow pages in the city where I live, now what makes you think US citizens needs you, a felon , to represent them. Check your law books.
First folks you can be an attorney in Mexico and not be qualified as an attorney here. There are doctors that come here from Mexico and they come and end up doing other jobs. Our government does not recognize the education or diplomas of certain countries and Mexico is one of them.
However, I suggest before people suggest that a person get in line and wait their turn or just immigrate legally that they find out exactly what it takes to immigrate legally in the first place and how the line is set up. Chinese only wait two years for a legal status if they qualify and they have more qualifying catagories than Mexicans do and Mexicans even if they have a qualifying status have to wait for sometimes as long as 22 years. How is that waiting your turn in line if Chinese only wait 2 years and Mexicans simply because they are Mexican have to wait 22 years?
Circumvention of the Law.
US Citizens are upset that their Government failed to uphold the Law of the Land and Failed to Secure US Borders.
