Enforce the Simpsom-Mazzoli act, the 1986 amnesty bill. There is a hugh fine and jail time for people that hire illegals. So far, 4 presidents have chosen to ignore this bill, 3 Republicians and one Democrat.
Without jobs, they will go home ehere they can be un-employed with a much lower cost of living.

Larger penalties to those who knowingly hire them. No longer allow them to get drivers licenses, rent apartments, allow them to register their children in schools. Deport those that are found.
It very simple. Illegal immigrants come to the United States for a better life. If you take away that enticement, they both do not come and those here go home.

Obviously we can't deport them all at once. Local authorities should be given the power that the Feds have and use them. One thing we could do, is that every time an illegal is stopped for a traffic ticket or some other crime, no matter how small, they should have an immediate hearing and then deported back to their country of origin. This won't eliminate the problem entirely but it would eventually send out a warning to others that if caught you are gone. Close down or heavily fine those companies or people who knowingly hire illegals. It's a tough problem considering the amount of illegals here.

same way we get rid of all illegals. We make a few changes to the law such as requiring social security and IRS to report to ICE all mismatched social security numbers. Purpose is so that ICE can bust the employers who are hiring the illegals. Go after the jobs and the illegals will self deport from lack of work.
Crack down on the business that are hiring them, and stop giving them the same benefits that legal Americans have.They wont be able to make any money. They will have no choice but to leave. We wont even have to bus them back.

We need to keep up-to-date with what the President is planning. This means watching the news, c-span, c-span 2, and talking to everyone we know. Join forums, send e-mails to your government officials, including the President, Chertoff with homeland inSecurity, Senators, etc. It's difficult, but needs to be done. Someone needs to oversee the government or they will give amnesty to everyone, even the Muslim terror cells out there who are planning to kill us.
