How can I change my name on my US citizenship certificate?
Answer:
you will need to file a petition for name change. you can obtain the form online. for example, if you are in california, you can go to courtinfo.ca.gov to obtain a form. there should be similar ones in other states. once you file it, you'll have to wait for a decree or order from a judge making the name change official. you can then take the decree/order to the dmv, social security, immigration, and get your name changed.
why would you want too?
Call an immigration attorney. I don't practice in this area of law, but I'm sure that an immigration attorney can help you.
Good luck.
Bring a copy of the court order by which you had you name changed legally and proceed to the local INS office.
you should have done it when you filed the N-400.
