Spanish residency?

I am British with a Spanish residency card. I shall be moving to USA and will eventually have a Green Card. Can I keep my Spanish residency....it is Spanish residency not citizenship.

I don't know how it is in Spain, but in the US, if you are out of the country for a certain amount of time, you abandon your residency. So you probably can't keep both.
