Have you considered this list when you debate illegal aliens ?
Our prisons are filled with rapists, drug dealers, drunk drivers and violent gang members who were readily allowed to perpetrate their crimes on innocent Americans even in the cases after authorities knew of their existence. They have been protected by local politicians who have provided them sanctuary and given them special perks such as in state tuition despite a federal law that penalizes them for discriminating in this manner. Federal officials have been avoiding their duty as well to the extent that the person directing the Department of Homeland Security actually lobbied in their favor!

Yes, I have considered and researched the crime impact on this issue. Crime is a major factor and costly to taxpayers.

That's a huge number since illegal aliens only account for about 3 percent of the total population."

Some estimates show illegals now make up half of California's prison population, creating a massive criminal subculture that strains state budgets and creates a nightmare for local police forces."
One chart I found shows that less than 3.5% of citizens are incarcerated currently for crime. Estimates are almost 7% of illegal aliens from Mexico are currently incarcerated for crime. Guatemala and El Salvador have higher percentages.

I agree 100%. We need to vote out the idiots who support the illegals and vote in real leaders who will stand up for Americans.
I agree that our prisons are over populated but blaming that entirely on illegal aliens is not accurate. There are financial, social and political pros and cons to allowing immigrents to enter our country but to say that crime in general is perptrated exclusively or at a much higher rate by these people is irresponsible.
