Deport and enforce the borders!??

Are you aware that bill that was defeated again killed a long list of enforcement remedies to enforce ourborders such as $4.4 billion for patrols, barriers, cameras etc.

Gone, too, is a plan for the first smart, effective way for employers to verify if workers are legal, as well as stiff criminal penalties for businesses that break the law.

And guess what guys the 12-20 million people are still hear.

Answer:
I know.

They are sad, these anti-illegals or anyone who was against this bill. They, themselves, don't even know who they are.
It almost seems unamerican to "HATE" illegals, when in fact there are way more American criminals here killing and raping people. Hate them, they are the criminals. And if they really cared about the American people why don't they protest against these rappers, who defame and dehumanize our own people.

There are far worse people to HATE like an Alqaeda Terrorist then a little "illegal" Mexican girl.
nothing is gonna happen, most of our senators and rich powerful citizens have illegal maids, nannies, and gardeners, y? cause they save them $$$$; face it you middle class r screwed
Yea but the 12 to 20 million are still illegal. so lets start deportation!
Are you insinuating that this horrible bill SHOULD have been passed, so that the benefits you mention would have obtained? How about: NO amnesty to violators of our sovereignty, and YES to border enhancements AND employer sanctions? Are the 3 a package deal, or can we get rid of the worst part and keep the best?
4.4 billion is actually a trivial amount - look at what we're spending on Iraq - and would represent only about one twenty-fith of the revenue that the Amnesty would have pulled in from 'fines' alone. Why not all of it going to enforcement?
Your stupid, and you look like a mexican, so cry all you want but NO AMNESTY FOR YOU!

You sound like one of those, a bad bill is better then no bill people. This bill was nothing but a give away, all the enforcement money was, was window dressing. In no way were they going to do the enforcement.
Darling,

Your spelling is atrocious, your reasoning is non-existant, and your insight as to what happened with this bad bill is myopic at best, and sadly typical.

the bill that was defeated yesterday was bad law. it was unenforceable, shot through with completely unattainable goals--but that is ok, since most liberals had no intention of enforcing those laws anyway. example: they passed funding for a fence 700 miles long--no fence yet.

yes, there are 12-20 million still "hear"...so don't hire them to work around your house...don't do business with those who hire them...you walk into McD's and see them behind the counter, loudly tell the manager that he is fomenting criminal behaviour, and then walk out.

if Gov't won't solve our problems, then we must solve them ourselves.
What was keeping deportation from happening before ? Did I miss something because as far as I am aware there no new laws. We still have the same laws as before.

Wow Strive, you are my hero.great comeback on kjh. I feel like crying.
Not for long! I seen ICE today arresting about 20 illegals in Florida! Plus they already have funding for the fence as of last year. We Americans will NEVER accept amnesty for illegals. Never again! So get over it!
It's become an unfortunately casual trick by our so-called "representatives," to tie funding and laws for legitimate causes into pet projects.

The fact is, there is a legitimate law on the books, from 1986, and it's quite obvious the majority of Americans demand that it be ENFORCED.
I know this is going to sound bad but...the Dems and Bush were actually on the same page and it could've solved our ILLEGAL immigration issue but the Republicans shot that down. I don't agree with some of the bills resolutions like amnesty but I agree with everything else.

What pisses me off is that people get the whole immigration issue wrong. The debate is about illegal immigration not legal immigration. I support all types of people using the legal avenue to work and live in the United States but when you illegally enter the country then that makes it against the law. Before we come up with a bill we should straighten that little fact out...
Because the bill gave instant amnesty to almost all illegal aliens in the US, the American people demanded that Congress kill it. And a miracle did happen; the Lords of the Senate actually listened to the people. Bravo everyone who fought to kill this bill. Our next task is to get the US House to pass The Secure Borders First Act of 2007. Contact your US Rep and advise him to become a co-sponsor. You can send a fax at http://www.numbersusa.com/actionbuffet...

Here is more info about the bill.
Now that the Bush-Kennedy-McCain amnesty is dead and the open borders crowd is in total disarray, we must press ahead to pass the The Secure Borders FIRST Act of 2007, sponsored by Congressmen Peter King and Lamar Smith because the current status quo is unacceptable.

We need to regain control of our borders and ramp up enforcement. This bill does it by:
• Requiring mandatory detention for all illegal immigrants apprehended along the border;
• Expedited removal for any illegal aliens apprehended within 100 miles of the border;
• Deploying at least 18,000 more border patrol agents by Dec. 31, 2008;
• Funding and reaffirming the authority of state and local police to apprehend and detain illegal aliens;
• Mandating the use of electronic employment eligibility verification system (formerly voluntary);
• Eliminating loopholes in current law that allows illegal immigrants to receive Social Security benefits from their illegal work, if they are later legalized;
• Banning the use of Matricula Consular cards, identification cards issued to illegal aliens by Mexican consulates to enable them to open bank accounts, buy homes and obtain other forms of identification; • Making English the official language of the United States;
• Mandating the full implementation of US-VISIT, the visa entry-exit system intended to track visa overstayers – a critical system to protect us from terrorism; and
• Punishing employers who hire illegal aliens.
As you can see, this is a powerful alternative to the Bush-Kennedy-McCain amnesty.
In a few days, I'll send you some of the tools necessary to start building support for the King-Smith bill as well as other great House enforcement bills offered by real immigration reformers like Elton Gallegly, Tom Tancredo, Virgil Goode, Walter Jones and others.
But for now, I hope you will enjoy your Fourth of July with a renewed appreciation of the fact of what it means to be an American and that we, the people, once aroused, can reclaim our government and bring to heel those elected officials who forget that, at the end of the day, they are answerable to us.

You can cover a pile of poo with a few roses and it still smells like poo. Americans did their homework this time and got rid of some government poo.
We want secure borders to stop the flood before we consider amnesty for illegals.
What you fail to understand is the money was already set aside back in 1986 for the fence with that last Amnesty problem. So you saying that this bill will stop the fence/border issue from being solved is wrong.
Those people are still here yes, but now with all these American eyes watching them maybe things will start to get done.
Hey, long time no see! I agree 100% that nothing major will happen for 2 years now and these idiots on here know it, yet they think they will wish away 20 million immigrants. Amnesty has to happen sooner or later, it is inevitable.
Virtually all that was in the bill for border security - and more - was in the bill they passed last year. The only difference is the funding and there was no guarantee where that was going. If we can't trust the law they passed 8 months ago, why should we be able to trust this one?
All the mexicans should get deported its not like there doing any good to are country...
illegals should be kept out no questions asked. if you want to be a citizen of the US do it legally.
