You would certainly think so. Of the terrorists who were planning to attack Fort Dix, two or three of them were illegal aliens. It's common sense to secure the borders, but the idiot in the White House and the idiots in Congress won't do it. Who knows why? They're all a bunch of liars.
This should have happened long ago. No compromise until our borders are secure.

Well, one would think like that, in a FORWARD thinking government. In our government, it is what is the easiest way of looking like you're doing something to solve the problem, but yet please all the people all the time, and end up pleasing none of the people.
we should secure the borders first, but we can't give amnesty to people who are here. We need to hold people accountable for their actions. illegal is illegal. if someone is here illegally in this country, they need to be held accountable for their actions. but yes!! we do need to secure the borders
I think securing the border is on everyone's top priority.That's why we must get people in the states already documented so we know who and what is here.No one disputes border security that has any sense.
Seal the borders first, then deport these criminals - with secure borders, they won't be able to turn around and come right back in. Build it and they will not come!
If you are a politician then the answer to your question is no it is not the first priority. It is not even a priority at all.
Border security should come first, but it did not with the Senate Shamnesty bill! We can accomplish border security by enforcing current immigration law, completing the border fence, hiring more border patrol and ICE agents, making illegal immigration a felony punishable by 60 days in prison, and cutting off benefits to illegal aliens.
I am not the only one who believes this check out the letter from 8 Senators to the president.

Sure is! That's why the Washington weasels are allowing debate on some new amendments. They can put in border security measure, hope the whole pile of crap passes and and then do nothing on security like last time!
I think there should be one bill that tackles security. Get it under control and THEN look at legal status. But, no - they have to do everything together so that they can pull the wool over our eyes and do nothing on security!

I agree, first secure the border. Then we start cracking down on employers and give them hefty fines for hiring illegals. The illegals will go home if they can't get jobs.

Oh by the way,they deported Sameh Khouzam back to Egypt who fled to America to avoid torture and certain death at the hands of the Islamic radicals.
He lived here for 9 years seeking our protection only to be deported back after the Egyptian Government assured ours that he wouldn't be tortured if returned back to them.
They can deport people who are refugees of tyranny but they can't deport people who are only here to invade and take over?
