No one probably knows the true answer unless they are a MEPS doctor. But I was wondering if I can get into the Marine Corps if my DD-214 has a re-code of 3 with a separation code of JFW. I gave my DD-214 and my surgical report to my recruiter. And today I went and saw my doctor and he cleared me to full activity with NO limitations. Dont tell me it cant be done because I joined the Army a couple of years ago with same problem. I just want to know if any else got in the Marine Corps with a medical waiver for ACL reconstruction. Since your ligaments have been restored there should be no problem during the medical examination and + that waiver/ you are in the core!

my brother blow his ACL twice and had surgery twice and thought about joining the Marine Corp and they told him that they couldnt accept him because of his pre-existing injuries. but i would think that if they cleared you for fullm activities with no limitations then there wouldnt be a problem.
