Fall, and if you go to the Grand Canyon, go during either sunrise or sunset. Be sure and go to Canyon de Chelly as well.
Sept or Oct. Southern AZ is not so hot and northern AZ is not yet cold and the leaves are changing. Great season for AZ travelling!!
October is a good month for it..
The only reason I could understand you asking this question is if you are planning on driving across the border and plan to bring some illegals along for the ride. What does your question have to do with IMMIGRATION??

* You would be wrong. I lived in that hell hole called Brawley for 4 yrs. (20 miles from Mexicali). And BTW May-October is never a good time to travel through Arizona.
