yeah but deporting them would mean separatin families apart tearing up relationships and it can damage a whole family, can't you even think of all the bad things it will cause immigrants to do like abondoning their own family because they have to get deported, deportation is not always the answer there may be some other way nut immigrtants should get some rights they came here to creat a family even support their back in their home country

Interesting argument. It is interesting to see if from the point of view of a 3rd generation Mexican American. I am sort of on the fence about it, on the one hand I see your points and agree with all of them whole heartedly. On the other, the quality of life in Mexico (for most of the population at least) is beyond poverty...it is MISERABLE. Can you really blame them for wanting to persue a better life here in America? And how do we decide which of them will be allowed to come and which will not (who will get "legal" status, etc). No, we cannot just allow people to flood over here or we will be no better than Mexico ourselves...but as human beings we do need to do something about the quality of life for these (and other) people somehow. I do not know what the answer is, but I know we have not found the right one yet.

AMEN!! Unfortunately, I don't think, in reality, that it's possible to just up and deport 20 million+ illegals. It would be very time consuming and costly, and with locking up border agents for trying to do their jobs it would take that much more time. I agree that it does need to be done. I'm just not sure of how to go about it. In my circle of friends, we think that maybe we should have stiffer fines and penalties for businesses that hire illegals - perhaps even jail time since a large fine is just a drop in the bucket to most that do the hiring. And also, if they get pulled over or jailed for commiting a crime (other than the initial crime of jumping the border since that doesn't seem to work), they should pay their dues and be given a one way trip back to where they came from - immediately! Of course, it would have to come out of the taxpayers pockets - but so does everything else they get. And I'm not just talking Mexican illegals here - I don't care WHERE they come from. Illegal is illegal and they need to go back!

Not only are the illegal aliens hurting us but they are criminals for breaking our laws! When someone breaks a law they must suffer the consequences. WE are not splitting up families if the illegals are deported. They are doing it to themselves!

So are you saying that since it doesn't effect you,it's okay for the illegals to take the jobs? Will you then say it's not okay when it does effect you?
Well, my Mexican American friend, you need to get yourself an education because people like me (a am Mexican American) are going to college so we don't get ourselves fighting for any decent/low-paying job. I just leave any job illegals can do, to do them, because they need it.
Plus, if you have not heard, 12 million illegal immigrants will not be deported, sorry, it's a little known fact.
