I have been in the uk for 4 years as a student with my 3 children & wife can we apply for indefinite leave ?

Answer:
I think you have been very lucky to have been given so much by the British govt. A good education and a home for your family. If you intend to work in this country and give something back, then apply to the immigration office, but if your just trying to stay longer because of the benefits, then probably best to go home and work in your homeland, and give them something back. Why should we subsidize you and your family - you came here to study now you have done that GO HOME.
You can but unless you come from a country or territory where it can be proved you would suffer persecution, prosecution or absolute privation then you may well be in for disappointment. The right to indefinite leave of stay has its disadvantages though as it does not make you a citizen therefore travel within Europe still requires visas and travel without Europe is almost impossible. Good luck in your endeavour to stay here.
Just be patient, soon thee will be regularisation of immigrants, all this talk of the government wanting to deport illegals is all crap, its just to deceive the public, if they re serious they know where to go.INDIAN RESTAURANT,CHINESE RESTAURANT in SOHO and all over the country CONNER SHOPS,TRAIN STATION,CLEANERS,SUPERMARKET, MARKET TRADERS,INTERNET CAFE...its not rocket science, every one knows illegals are in those places, n if the government isn't doing anything...hold your breath son, you will get it soon..Martin Luther king said, we have learnt how to guide missiles, but have misguided men
You're supposed to be a bloody student.
No you can't stay...GOODBYE
Not as far as I undrstand. However, at the end of your studies you might be able to switch to an HSMP visa as a highly skilled migrant. Check

as a student? no you can't
go home
Am I reading this correctly. You arrived here 4 years ago on a student visa with your wife and three children.

As your wife does not have a work visa, then I assume the our benefits system has been supporting your family for the last 4 years.

Now that your studies have finished, you would like to remain in this country and continue your families dependance on the benefit system.

Dont get me wrong, I have no problem with students being allowed in to study, but to bring the whole family for the rest of us to support is a bit much.
