Whats going on with the immigration thing now?

so the bill is done with right, just gone? or will it pop back up again? Whats going to happen now? I haven't been keeping up with it, been to busy with work.

Answer:
who knows, and who cares anymore, i mean, ill pay attention to it once something is going to actually be finalized, all this is right now is a big argument.
It's like a turd that just won't flush.
Bush is blackmailing and bribing Senators to push it through. Better write/email Senators to try and stop it. grassfire.org
not much just be known and pay finds.
It's going back on the Senate floor for further Debate on Thursday--Reid has promised they will work through the weekend. Without massive changes to the current H1B Visa's provisions and a reworking of the "Amnesty" clauses--I say it's a loser once again.
It's supposed to be voted on before July 4th, and it's a tossup as to whether or not it will pass.
It is the biggest issue of our times and when the politicians are finished it will be so watered down and have so much pork attached the issue will have to come up again just to fix the crap attached. Politicians should have to be accountable for the pork but they will not. The corporations that are funding the lobbies are not spending all the money because it is a big issue but only because the stand to profit from exploiting those people. It is a sick business the life of a politician.
I am not an American but being an outsider-observer with what's happening in the US immigration, I know Bush will push through with this law, after he strongly said that, it is his legacy to the American people. (so I ask how about the damaging war in Iraq?).

Anyway, I agree with the Bush's immigration overhaul. Though it may spawn heavy sentiments among the illegal migrants, but every American should think that, the law should prioritize those who went with the system and process, like those hundreds of waiting for their visas to be approved or visa numbers all over the world. They should be prioritized, not those who entered illegally. Crossing one's country without permission is not a right, it is against the right of a country to protect its borders and select whomever they think should enter their land.
What is going to happen is what WE allow to. If We keep emailing and calling and talking to senators and politicians about VOTE (our vote) changes are going to take place. They don't play games wiith their votes.
