Is it just me or do other Americans share my anger?

I don't like to press yes for English on the ATM
I don't like having to press 1 for English on the phone
whenever I call different places,
I don't like seeing women wrapped up in their country's
berkas or whatever and I walk by them and they smell
like BO,
I don't respect our Government anymore for not laying down
laws about proper dress, learning English, and
becoming a U.S. Citizen !!
They are too many illegals in this country who can barely
read, write or speak English, yet they get a drivers'
license and jobs.
I cannot stand it when I go to a particular fast food rest, or
coffee shop and they barely understand what I am saying.
I cannot stand to see a non-American flag flying in my
country where men and women gave their lives for
AMERICA!
We need to get tough and make it mandatory for aliens
to learn English, become US citizens or go back to their
own country. We need to tighten our borders NOW!!!
The time is now to get America back!

Answer:
Most Americans agree with you, but we are too busy working to protest and be loud like the ones that don't.
I think I passed anger a long time ago, I am out right pissed!
you should run for office
Please seek some counseling.Your ancestors came from another country at some point, so your post is ridiculous.
i hear what your sayin, but it doesnt look like anyones doin anything about it does it?
If you don't like it, leave. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
I'm with you.
Laws about proper dress? Really? Maybe you should revisit what America is all about. Land of the free and all? Do we need more laws on every facet of our lives?
Also immigration is the only reason we are here.
God forbid you be enriched and your mind broadened with ideas and cultures other than your own.
It's you and all the other haters on this site! You just seem to be lazy. And you're anti-government, and that's NEVER good.
Sounds like you got some anger problems...get help! God Bless!
I agree
Theodore Roosevelt on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN

"In the first place we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the man's becoming in very fact an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag, and this excludes the red flag, which symbolizes all wars against liberty and civilization, just as much as it excludes any foreign flag of a nation to which we are hostile...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Theodore Roosevelt 1907
A dress code ?
That's not very American is it ?

As for ATM's that work in English and Spanish - It's a free market - that's Capitalism at work. Your not against Capitalism are you ?
So, if we were to eliminate biligualism, women in burkas with b.o., mandatory English, non-American flags, tight borders, you wouldn't be angry anymore?

Or, would you find other stuff to get your dander up about people not like you?
Sorry I don't live from anger I will get sick if I start getting angry so I say...I look at the bright side so.
And getting angry from insignificant things is just hurting yourself and you won't be able to live a happy life...
Got it love life!!!
I agree with you on everything, except the veils. This is part of their religious practice. But yes, I am sick of it also. The town I live in has no grocery stores except for ones that cater to Hispanics. I have to drive several miles to get a decent cut of meat and some decent vegetables other than chile peppers. My father fought in WWII. For what? He passed away last year, and he was very distraught at the way things were going in this country. He told me that we were going to be a third world country someday. Looks like we are heading that way. I already feel as though I live in a foreign country. You can't even get a job in my town if you don't speak Spanish. I'm with ya girl!
Millions of Americans agree with you. But we need to be taking action. Some citizens are saying we should establish Citizen Sanctuary Counties and blockade them from Illegal immigrants. Others are already making a move to buy up farms and develop co-ops wherein they grow their own food and have their own feed lots and everything is done on that property without weed killers and insecticides. They're doing it as part of the green movement but it is a two-fold movement to limit the reliance on foreign goods and services. They pledge to hire only american citizens and legal immigrants and will sell only to american citizens and legal immigrants. Others are refusing to eat out, myself included, anywhere where there is even an appearance of hiring illegal immigrants! We are shopping at local stores and talking with the store owners about purchasing only American made and grown organic goods. We are getting chemists and biologists to test our food and water and check it for contaminants and we are amassing tons of data. We believe that the Government is not doing its job and we are not going to enable it. We will protect our own. This is the week to write your legislators and let them now that nothing short of enforcement will be tolerated when it comes to illegal immigrants.
I agree with some things, and disagree with others.

I like to be understood when I speak in English also. I dont really care about pressing 1 to get service in English though. Thats really a minor inconvenience and anyone who complains about that is just lookin for somethin to complain about. Grow up, kids in Africa are starving to death every day and youre bitchin about pressing 1 on the ATM machine? Please.

If Muslim women want to wear Burkas, I have nothing to say to them. Its none of my damn business or anyone elses how they dress. Do you want people telling you how to dress? No right? Then why should you be allowed to tell them how to dress?

I agree that the borders need some serious upgrades, and that the flow of illegal immigrants has to be slowed down considerably (Its unreasonable in my mind to ask that it be stopped altogether, itll never happen).

For me, as long as the immigrants are trying to learn English, I can deal with their difficulties at first. Theyll get better at it, it takes time and practice.

We need to get rid of NAFTA immediately. It has severely hurt the Mexican and central American economy to the point that all the jobless people there feel the US is the only place they can get a job. We need to be good neighbors and help their economies out a little if we want them to stop coming here by the millions.
i pretty much agree with you, except about the dress code. We are not in the army, people can dress anyway they want, as for smell... i hear you girl, but nothing you can do, maybe avoid unpleasantness...
I get irate over the whole ordeal without even leaving what's supposed to be the comfort of my own home. I'm tired of going places that are over run by non-Americans and you have almost no choice but to purchase their products...where else are we supposed to shop. They are taking over everything that we have. Even if I'm at home, there is stuff all over the news about non-Americans trying to become president, going on killing rampages, and getting FREE everything in the country. I'm completely disgusted with the way our country has let it's own people go. It's supposed to be the land of the free and home of the brave! FREE...the only things free aren't offered to Americans. BRAVE...all our brave soldiers are fighting to stay alive and what are we still over there for again?? Yeah, I'm with you...somebody needs to do something or we won't any longer be the United States of America.
How 'bout this: let's just pass a law that says only White Christians allowed. And we could all dress the same - Dockers & Polo shirts for men and knee length dresses for women. Only men can run for office or work outside the home. Southern accents and Brooklyn accents are not allowed. Everyone must bathe at least 5 times a week (I volunteer to monitor the closed circuit cameras).

Oh.and if any of YOUR relatives emmigrated to this country who couldn't speak English upon arrival..YOU will be deported as well.
The United States of America : Land of the FREE,Home of the BRAVE ! This should tell you something. And oh yeah,go get some help please.
I do and I don't

On one hand you have to realize that we are a country of immigrants. There are very few Americans who are actually native to this country. Also when our ancestors immigrated to America, there where no immigration laws. Basically you came over on a boat, and you were allowed in. Basically the illegal are a couple of decades late. If they came to America in the late 1800's or early 1900's they would not be considered illegal, but now they are.

On the other hand, English is our language, and everyone should learn how to speak it. When I travel to other countries I speak their language to the best of my ability. All I want from immigrants legal or illegal is to give an effort to learn our language. When our ancestors came here, they learned how to speak English, or they didn't work, and as such we now speak English.

So I do see your point, but if I didn't live in America, I would do whatever it took to get to America, however once I was here, I would learn the customs, language etc
There is no we, the government couldn't care less about what you think and getting any significant number of people to agree on anything is nearly impossible. Things are just going to keep getting worse than they are now, prepare now to save yourself and your family from your federal government. I could write 100,000 words on the subject!
you can't hear it, but I am totally applauding you! I could not agree more!!!
I am just waiting for people to take things into their own hands, and its getting close, very close,,,,,,,and I would not blame any of them, just our gov't who does not have the coconuts tough enough to uphold the law,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Wow girl. I suggest you seek some counseling. All that anger is toxic.

No I don't feel the same way.
how shallow can u be. ur the exact example of what other countries see Americans as: pure ignorance & arrogance!

I cant stand to see uneducated Americans when primary & secondary education is free
I cant stand to see American drug addicts and meth heads when i'm trying to get to work.
I cant stand to see American Politics going down the drain & taking the ppl w/them.
I cant stand to see any grown American adults who know they perspire & still resist showers- in general!
I cant stand to see rich arrogant Americans act like they are invisible to the law!
I cant stand to see our American education systems care more about politics than the children of our future!
I cant stand to see Americans act out every stereotype that foreign countries have of us.

However, I am an American and know what i stand for and why. I love this country & am blessed to have been born here! America: Love it or Leave it!!!
Preaching to the choir. I agree, but like one guy said, we're too busy working or go out and protest like the illegals do. I've already written to my representative about it. Everyone should.
I do, you're right, but the truth is that we are "silent" majority. All the big-mouth groups are the ones on the news and we are quietly watching while our anger is ignored, but it's our fault, we must be more loud.
Yep..I'm past anger myself.

For those that don't think there's a dress code.try going topless with just a drape of a skirt on or guys try going around with a loin cloth. Just see how fast you get arrested for indecent exposure. I mean there are cultures in very warm climates where they don't wear much clothes at all and even though it's their cultural dress that is acceptable where they are.it's not here. Try going in a bank with a ski mask on sometime and see how long it takes for them to tell you to remove it. No shoes, no shirt, no service. I don't want to instill a rock hard dress code either but if I were immigrating to another country where my dress was offensive..I would do my best to comply and fit in and not draw undo attention to myself. Especially in the case of the full burkas since it is a security risk to not be able to identify people. Some nut-job guy could throw that garb on and commit crimes and who would know who it was? Why do you think so many of the radical illegals wear that stupid bandana over their face?

I could deal with the burkas as long as it doesn't go the direction as it has in just about every other country they have moved to..and that's making us wear the scarves and complaining about relegious jewlery and all the rest. Lord knows Americans can't "offend" anyone but this is America..and it's time they start adapting to America or go home.
