What are your personal view and opinions about illegal immigration and its impacts on society?

christy m: While I understand your concerns with your husband I have an honest question. Do you believe he actually could have done more with his life had he LEGALLY immigrated to the United States then have the ability to use some of the wonderful services that this country offers its citizens?

Illegal immigration is demoralizing because they are rewarded for breaking the law.
And if the issue isn't dealt with, it is going to have a severe impact on the economy because the overwhelming number of illegal immigrants need a large amount of social assistance, a fact that is driving up entitlement costs exponentially.
To many people will ruin anything. There must be controls. What would American highways be like if there were no cops?
My husband is illegal and I have to say that if most people knew what kind of life those people had to live before coming here, they may look at it a little differently! My husband has been working hard labor work since the age of 5. His family didn't have the money to buy books and send him to school so he has no education which is a shame because he is extremely bright and with an education he could've done alot more with his life. He come over here to better his self and to try to do something with his life.
Its impact is on all legal immigrants and American workers; it devalues the workforce and benefits that should be provided to all people;
not to forget that our health care system is overburdened with more people who will not pay for their services.
Cheap labor is overshadowing the right for people to get decent paying jobs to live.
My personal view is that many legal immigrants came to this country and paid their dues and are loyal to this very nation.
If illegal aliens get this free ride of an amnesty bill; then why should anyone bother with applying for citizenship or be loyal to the USA?
They will expect another path to citizenship; because they will know that our representatives we voted into office will not expect them to follow our laws;
Because we sure are not enforcing them and our border security is practically non existent.
