I live in Florida there are plenty of attractions here , Beaches , Disney World, Sea World Busch Garden's ,Water Parks ,Universal Studios and the Florida Aquarium to name a few , I'd let you pick because I have been to most of them

Everyhting is so close around here. the farthest is the beach but the amusement parks and everything are 15 to 20 minutes

If I were in my homeland and you visited, I would take you down the roads less travelled in my desert. There is always something or someone out of the ordinary to see.
In Berlin I would have taken you for a coffee and cake near Adenauer Platz and a beer in one of the many gardens in the park. Then dinner outside along one canal or other. Then introduced you to younger friends to go party all night all over Berlin.
In England I would show you the Ashdown Forest, and find that teahouse I miss every other time I go there. Also, we would try to find where Winnie the Pooh and his friends might be hiding :-)
When I move to Shanghai, I hope I make a lot of local friends so they can show ME the things I might otherwise miss.
sure, there's the space and rocket center in Huntsville. many places to go to. New Orleans is 5 hours away. you can have fun anywhere you go, it's up to you to make the fun.
