I am a police officer in malta and for the past one year I worked in detention with illegal immigrants, here in Malta they spend 18months in detention if they get 2 rejections to become refugees. I guess when they are free they can buy anything they want.

I have seen many illegals in possession of firearms. Usually they are stolen.

An illegal ALIEN can never have resident status unless he leaves the US and applies for residency, or if the Bush morons give amnesty. An illegal cannot own a firearm legally in the US.
An illegal alien can buy one off the street. IF this amnesty bill passes then they have legal status here so they would have the same rights as any other non-citizen resident.
