Our immigration laws might as well be imaginary because our government sure doesn't like to follow them.
Even if every country had the same immigration laws it wouldn't make a difference.. The whole problem is our current laws aren't followed and some of them need to be reformed specifically the anchor baby law. ..
So until current laws are obeyed and other laws reformed. The situation isn't going to get any better.

No, because some countries are more desirable to live in than others. No one is beating down the door to get into.... Mexico for example. The people they catch sneaking across their southern border are on their way here, unfortunately.
