We moved to Ireland 3 years ago and havnt looked back.
People are very friendly here, the first day we moved into the village I went down the butchers and I was gone an hour. the butcher was chatting as if he had known me for years. The Irish people are much more friendly than back in the UK.
We would never go back.
Supporters of different teams here actually meat in the same pubs and have a great time. Its treated as a sport over here some you win some you loose can you see that happening in the UK

Go to China their laws are certainly not Namby Pamby.
That's a tough question to answer without any knowledge of who you are.
If its namby pamby laws you hate, there won't be any in North Korea.
Australia, booming economy, beautiful, diverse, safe, great people and not over populated.
Ireland as communication might be difficult in Japan or China !
None of those! BUT! If you are white, you will not readily be accepted in Japan. You will be a commie if you go to China, and possibly starve for lack of a job, unless you want to be a rice planter. Your legs will rot off eventually though. Ireland sounds the best, as they still hate the English for slaughtering their people and livestock for personal gain throughout history. I'd go to Ireland.

I wouldn't recommend China their laws are very strict, New Zealand, or Spain, not too far, what about Canada at least they speak English. Or you could come to live with me in Malta, lovely weather, they speak English and it is safe here, but the wages are crap.
try Zimbabwe for a year or two, you'll very soon love England

What is making you sick the weather, the politics etc..... this would help narrow it down. if too much Law is the problem you may find China a problem! Japan is too expensive, Ireland is a good potential but heck it is a bit like "England Light". Canada is a great choice and there is plenty of room a tad bit cold and full of misquitos though. America has some really great places to offer San Diego Perhaps? Australia is having big drought issues, which I fear are going to get worse. NZ may be a good choice. Or you could stay and help make you home better by getting involved...........

Lets start by taking the places you suggested;
1) China----> Due to the power of your currency, you'll be able to maintain a very high standard of living in this country. Language is a big problem in China as English has only recently been promoted at levels. You should think about taking a language course in basic Mandarin (Most popular dialect of Chinese). But be prepared for a relatively lower quality in everything you find, be it traffic sense (World class in the big cities but poor everywhere else in China). You must also prepare for a culture shock.
2) Japan----> I like to think of Japanese culture as more of a copy of American culture but more respect for moral values (Oh damn, the Yankees are gonna murder me for this one). You'll be a lot more comfortable in this country.
3) Ireland---->Open green fields, lovely countryside scenery, aaaah! Choose this place if you love nature. The big cities there are more or less like your England. I hear there's a construction boom going on there. Real Estate anyone?
4) MY CHOICE--> Did you not even think about USA? USA is awesome! My dream destination is USA. Think about it.
Try Iraq plenty of excitement there
