Do you think the government will finally start doing the right thing?
A new temporary guest worker program would also have to wait until those so-called "triggers" had been activated. And all but the highest-skilled temporary workers would have to return home after work stints of two or three years, with barely any opportunity to apply for permanent legal status or ever become U.S. citizens.
Only 10,000 green cards annually would be available for guest workers, and they would be awarded on a so-called "points system" that favors higher-skilled and better-educated immigrants.
"We're trying to make sure that people who are temporary workers don't melt into society and put down roots. Temporary means temporary," Graham said.
Answer:
Funny thing is our government hasn't ever done the right thing when it comes to immigration of the illegals and I don't think this guest status and temporary worker proposition will be the answer. We have laws that prevent the illegals for coming across the border illegally. Our present administration doesn't want to enforce those laws because to do so will cost big business a lot of money to hire citizens to perform menial tasks over what they would offer the illegals.
When will the average citizen stand up and say, "I am mad as hell, and I am not going to take it anymore!"
As long as our government is liberal controlled, the free money will continue to pour out to the underprivlidged minorities who come here illegally.
HA HA HA HA, LMAO! what was the question again, oh ya, sure it will, when has the government cared about its citizens? Our government is suppose to protect us, it cares more about illegals then its own people.
