Well let them try. As long as it has Amnesty it will not fly. Period.

Don't get me wrong, I am for Amnesty for otherwise law-abiding immigrants (even if they are here "illegally"), but Bush simply doesn't have the votes. Nor will he get them.

There is going to be an amnesty eventually and people need to learn to deal with it. The American people are not going to tolerate 12 million people being deported from their neighborhoods at gunpoint. When the media gets images of children being thrown into police vans screaming, people will be begging to let them stay.
It will be back but it will be carefully revised.. If it isnt what we want I believe they will vote for us again... Historical Ground breaking yesterday. Americans should be proud..

I can't for the life of me understand why you are even talking about it. Can you imagine the rush for the Mexican border if any bill talking amnesty should pass? Picture hundreds of thousands of people running across the border. I'm crazy right? lol Don't say you weren't warned. ^_^

The comments on that article are dated 06/25/07- the vote that killed it was on 06/28/07.
That bill could be brought back up in theory in the next session of congress but that is not going to happen due to the overwhelming opposition to it's existence.
I think it will be back, but the American people will KILL the bill again, and again! We will clog up the Senates lines, and ensure they never think of betraying the American people again!
