How much of a criminal do you see illegal aliens?
Fellony I - III ?
or whatever
Answer:
Felony.
i don't think wanting a better life is a crime..
---
ok, i don't really want to dive into this debate, but i want to make a few points:
1) the majority of 'illegals' pay taxes
2) their labor is necessary to our economy
3) you brake plenty of laws, too. we all do. does that mean nobody respects the sovereignty of the US? if we aren't following the rules, should we be allowed to live here?
4) hispanics are the most decorated racial group in the US army.
i wouls say felony
Felony, they invaded and are an assault on my country.
honestly, they need to be judged on an individual basis.
some of them are honestly somewhere illegally due to horrible economical situations at home
others are just freeloading.
and then others with bad intentions..
you can't group a huge portion of people into one lump..
probably a misdemeanor for a majority of the people, and a felony if it happens again
I agree with BrightEyes. They just want a better life. I can't say I wouldn't do the same thing if I was in their situation.
I think it should be considered a felony only if it is proven that they know they knew about their illegal status, and I think it should only ever be a misdemanor for minors.
wanting a better life isn't a crime, but cutting to the head of the line is......
Illegal Aliens are criminals by definition..duh
If you want to live in any country you should follow it's rules when you move there. If the law says you have to fill out this form and pay this fee or whatever if you don't do it you are breaking the law. Unless this causes harm to someone I think it should only be a misdemeanor but a higher class one.
(I don't know too much aboout the laws concerning this ) I don't blame them for coming here. But I do think it's a bit unfair that the government gives them so many amenities for so long. I can understand that they're being given some for a spell so that they can get on their feet but then I think they should be on the same level as the rest of us.
Wanting a better life is not a crime, but basically invading another country is. The people that just want to accept all of these people have not looked into the cost on public infrastructure and services. When our ancestors came over, and unless your of American Indian heritage, they did, they lined up and were officially registered into this country. Why should we allow just an unchecked flow into this country. think about the criminals that are being sent across the border by mexico so they are our problems. If you are a legal immigrant i would be the first to welcome you, if you break the law to get here, I'll be the first to send you back.
Just enforce the laws we have:
Under Title 8 Section 1325 of the U.S. Code, "Improper Entry by Alien," any citizen of any country other than the United States who:
Enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers; or
Eludes examination or inspection by immigration officers; or
Attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United States by a willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact;
has committed a federal crime.
Violations are punishable by criminal fines and imprisonment for up to six months. Repeat offenses can bring up to two years in prison. Additional civil fines may be imposed at the discretion of immigration judges, but civil fines do not negate the criminal sanctions or nature of the offense.
(3)(A) Any person who, during any 12-month period, knowingly hires for employment at least 10 individuals with actual knowledge
that the individuals are aliens described in subparagraph (B) shall
be fined under title 18 or imprisoned for not more than 5 years, or
both.
(B) An alien described in this subparagraph is an alien who -
(i) is an unauthorized alien (as defined in section 1324a(h)(3)
of this title), and
(ii) has been brought into the United States in violation of this subsection.
(4) In the case of a person who has brought aliens into the
United States in violation of this subsection, the sentence
otherwise provided for may be increased by up to 10 years if -
(A) the offense was part of an ongoing commercial organization
or enterprise;
(B) aliens were transported in groups of 10 or more; and
(C)(i) aliens were transported in a manner that endangered
their lives; or
(ii) the aliens presented a life-threatening health risk to
people in the United States.
1st crossing is a misdemeanor. If a person is deported and comes back, all subsequent entries into the USA are felonies under the U.S. Code
TITLE 8 - ALIENS AND NATIONALITY
CHAPTER 12 - IMMIGRATION AND NATIONALITY
SUBCHAPTER II - IMMIGRATION
PART VIII - GENERAL PENALTY PROVISIONS
Section 1325. Improper entry by alien

It's a felony. Coming here illegally is an attack on the sovernigty of the United States and a basic lack of respect for our rule of law. Illegals continue this by not paying taxes but absorbing social services such as schools, healthcare and other services.
Illegal aliens also do not integrate into the fabric of America. They maintain their own culture, language and social organizations.
I don't believe it's a misdemeanor OR a felony---I just think that if someone ( REGARDLESS OF THEM WANTING A BETTER LIFE), comes into ANY country without the proper papers (ILLEGALLY) then they should be immediately deported back to their own country----THOUSANDS of immigrants enter this country LEGALLY every day---they took the time it takes to acquire the required documentation to be allowed into this country-(passports, visa's, whatever).. Why does so many people think that it is the RESPONSIBILITY of the United States to take care of people who do NOT have the proper documentation to enter this country?? If it is a LAW that you MUST have proper documentatio to immigrate into ANY country, then that law must be FOLLOWED... if NOT, just like ANY OTHER LAW, the violators must be punished...these people are lucky they are not tossed in a PRISON.sending them back to their home is what SHOULD be done!! Listen, I KNOW the majority of those who SNEAK into this country from Mexico are the POOR and downtrodden, but laws are made for ALL and although I DO feel sorry for people from other countries who are forced to live under poverty or oppressive governments, you must ALSO realize that if OTHER immigrants are forced to provide proper documentation to enter this country, SO SHOULD THE MEXICANS...PERIOD! GET THE PAPERS or STAY HOME!
Felony! They can do it illegally! Its like moving into an apartment and not paying for it and expecting it to be given to you! ahhh NO! So just pay your fee's do ur **** right then welcome to America!
A lot of ppl are being great judges bcuz they have never been in the shoes of the ones coming over here. A lot of others are a bit understanding and know its really hard to judge when were just sitting on the other side of the grass. I think idiots that don't give a damn about no one else will feel that ppl coming over here are criminals. My grandmother came to this country illegally and if it wasn't for her, neither my mother or I would have been born here and had the life that we live now.
God bless America the good people and all the selfish idiots who don't care!!
How much of a criminal is your murderer president ?? You in U.S. are fond of labelling human beings as "aliens" aren't you just? You seem to forget that in the 1800's the wonderful "american" ripped through america raping pillaging and stealing lives and homes from the indigenous Indian peoples, destroying their way of life forever. After another go in Vietnam and Laos where such atrocitites as the horrific Mai Lai massacre took place carried out by the U.S. military, once again and true to form you now invade Iraq and do the same murderous deeds there. So before using the word alien, look at your own litany of ALIEN abuses toward lesser fortunate and weaker nations.
The biggest ALIEN ever on this planet is that sick evil goon freak murderer you have as a president. Clean up your own back yard before levelling abuse at immigrant people and if you have never resettled in another land as a child, due to decisons made by well meaning parents, and faced abuse which damaged your education and self confidence long term, then think first how it must be for those who do suffer at the hands of foul mouthed foul minded mongrels like you. Here's a little token for you to proudly contemplate as a
" true american ! "
Felony? or worse? >> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/image:my_la...
SLEEP WELL !
Felony III .it is against the law and we had better start strictly enforcing it...
it is criminal to violated rules. There's immigration and embassy in mexico for them. I guess mexican are scared to fill up forms for visa? (sorry i don't have good grammar" Duh~ i need american tutor master in english.)
Misdemeanor 1 first offense and progresses to felony by 3rd
Can't give them an out becuase they want a better life. Hell over half the criminals I put away in my years in law enforcement said they did it to improve their life.
Wanting a better life is not a crime. That's the level of discourse we get here.
People who rob banks want a better life. People that sell drugs want a better life. People who murder want a better life.
Entering another country illegally is a crime.
Felony III
I dont think illegal aliens are criminals just because they cross the borders. There are people who come to the U.S for a better life, and this i know because i have seen people who suffer alot in the U.S . They try to make a good living, and that isnt a crime. But there are people who come here for nothing good. If illegal aliens come here for a better life and do not harm you in any way then we as americans should give them opportunities, because as far as i know this country was built on freedom, But i dont and will never set side with someone who hurts people and disrespects the law here in the U.S.. Even if they are hispanic
Immigrants are not Criminals. Unless they harm You
