Answer:
I read the article. Stories like this are undeniably sad. Undeniably heartbreaking. I feel terrible for those families.
Unfortunately what they did was against the law; and so they suffered for it (even the innocent kids). America needs a total reformation of the laws in place about becoming a legal citizen. It could be so easily designed to let in decent families that work for their livings, versus the jerks that come here by the thousands to exploit our country and demand rights.
If a family comes here, strives for citizenship, learns English (at least for your shcool age kids, COME ON), and promises to be a productive citizen and follow the law, that's great. That's what America is.
Unfortunately so many illegals have made a bad name for themselves, by refusing to embrace America, and instead exploiting it's systems, laws, culture, and people. These kind of people have outstayed their welcome. And they have ruined it for thousands of honest immigrants, decent people striving for their own AMERICAN dream.
Illegals try to play on our concience, but we are not falling for it.
I think she actually means what she says, and their family has been destroyed. The mother is thousands of miles away!
I read this and other similar stories in the news today and it doesn't have much of a sympathy effect on me because I feel that they can only blame themselves if they feel they have been destroyed - they did it to themselves. They knew the risks when they came illegally, but they felt the risks were worth it and so they took the risks and now they should not be surprised when they are caught. No, the USA did not do this to their family - they did it to themselves and even hurt their innocent children themselves. No sympathy from me. I am sorry for the children only but feel they should put the blame where the blame belongs - on the parents and perhaps their native country for making them feel that they needed to leave home in the first place. They should feel fortunate that they have gotten away with sponging off of the citizens of the USA for as long as they have.
And instead of helping these people you send them back ?way to go,i'm sure that will change how their documented relative feel about our gov. huh?
Could you lend me a hand?
