Can a US work Visa be transfered from one employer to another?

I have a work visa through my current employer, but i am realizing that it isn't the job i thought it was.It isn't right for me.If i found a new job that was willing to sponsor me could my visa be transfered?

Answer:
No your visa was issued to work for a certain employer. If the other employer is willing to sponsor you then you will get another visa.
NO.
I looked into this also, but only very briefly, I decided to stay where I was until well after I got the GC.

I think you can exercise what they call portability, it all depends on how long you have been working for your current employer, as I think there are certain time constraints and what is making you want to leave the company you are working for, if the employer is not fulfilling the details of the job that were set to you upon employment then you have a strong case, in any event it is possible.
