I don't think the issue is such a large and powerful one to justify one side or the other going to war. All of Mexico would have to be high on Peyote for them to ever consider an armed conflict with the one and only superpower of the world. Mexico has fewer troops, inferior technology, and even lack the basic technologies like national radar coverage. Mexico is benefiting from illegal immigration, but would just have to suck it up if we were to close down the border.
No, the Mexican government KNOWS they can't beat us. They wouldn't even try. The better question is will the USA ever have another civil war over the issue of illegal immigration. I for one am sick of it!
Nope, something will give but there won't be a war. The US could just crack down on the invasion and be done with it. Mexico would whine for a while and their people will probably start putting pressure on their own government instead of ours, but there is really nothing Mexico could do.
I would happily pay a lot more for every good and service that I buy if it means getting rid of these illegals. They have nothing to contribute that I want.

No. Its a serious issue but not that serious. This is just my opinion...but what do people not understand about the word "ILLEGAL." IF the law is not going to be enforced here, why should be expect it to enforced on other criminal situations? Besides, Mexico also has illegal immigration problems on its own southern border.

now, as for the population........... i know so many people who are so mad about this. of course, where i live, i also know a fair amount of illegals, and some of them get welfare in addition to having jobs they don't pay taxes on. they get welfare because since they're illegal, their income is not considered. I've been told this personally by the recipient. i see red.

No. It's in neither of the countries national interest. Nor has an act of war been committed by either party. It's simple foreign policy.. take an intro course at any college.
I doubt it. I hope something happens in Mexico to help the common people achieve a better quality of life in their native land so they stop risking their lives to get into America. I don't think there's any hope of that happening though. Even if the people did rise up in revolution against the corrupt Mexican government, I think that US troops would be there to help quell the protest in order to protect American interests and the current economic status-quo.
The Mexican government and the US government are good friends. The illegals are poor people and neither side really wants them or cares what happens to them in the end. Nobody is going to fight over them.
