We're 54 & want to immigrate to Astralia where daughter & family lives for past 15 months. Requirements?
Could you please advise what will be the best visa to apply for, how long will it take (queues) and what will be required.
Our children stays in Perth and are going to Melbourne to stay as my son in law accepted a job offer there. My daughter is in her last year of studying for a lawyer and she really need some help with the children to advance in her career.
Thank you and awaiting your reply

Hi! I am not familiar with Australian visas or their requirements. But I have lived abroad as well as my husband immigrated to my country (US) from his home country Pakistan. Before this happened, I lived with him and his family on a family visa there in his country so I am somewhat educated about embassy requirements. The very BEST advice I can offer you from our experience is to contact the Australian Embassy or a local Australian Consulate and ask them these same questions. They probably have a website registered online with information as well as it would probably be fastest and easiest to send your questions to them via e-mail. If you do contact them be sure to have them note your name (passport info) and contact number for future reference. And the main reason why I advise you to contact only them is because laws and requirements can change and also mislead or disappoint you. At the beginning of my husbands anticipated immigration we were told many rumors about the process and later found them to be false. I have also experienced that embassies and consulates have a way of making you run around in circles, so make sure that when you contact them you are very specific and keep contacting them until you get a direct answer. I wouldn't advise trying to visit in person unless you have all documents with you and have made an appointment ahead. Best of luck to you and remember that the key to expediting this process is to pursue contacting them as well as have some patience and keep a good record of everything.
