That sounds like very good news to me! I would love nothing more than to see the present laws finally enforced regarding illegal immigration. Maybe it will happen, yet!
I think the "opinion elite" which the article states supported the bill were caught far off guard by the now Unsilent Majority's opposition to the bill. Groups such as Numbers USA helped people become aware and then lend their voices to the hue and cry against selling out our nation once again. The growth of Numbers USA and other organizations will continue as long as members of the government to disregard the needs of the citizens.
