If I have a tourist visa and I am in USA or UK , how can I change my visa status to allows me to work?
Answer:
you would not have had to overstay you stay and you would need to file a petition for change of status with which ever country your in.. more then likely you will need to have a company sponsor you for an H-1 visa
You need to have applied for a working visa for the country you want to work in and also have had your visa accepted and issued.
in the uk you can't. you would have to leave the uk, then apply for a different type of visa. tourist visas are covered by the visa waiver program, work / residential visas arent.
If you entered the UK as a tourist with any intention of even looking for work then the likelihood is that you entered unlawfully. Either way, the Home Office will not change your status to a visa madatory category. Leave and get the necessary visa.
It's a TOURIST visa - you can't. The best you can do is return home, apply for a WORK visa and then come back, although why you would want to come back here is beyond me!
I have no idea.
Not 100% sure, but I think your best bet would be to contact the immigration department of the country in question - for the UK try the Home Office website.
You can't. You have to go home first because tourist visa doesn't have dual intent.
And do not violate the length of stay of your tourist visa as well; otherwise, you'd be overstay and it's even more difficult.
Unless you go back to where ever you came from and apply for a working visa
sounds like you are trying it on,home office has been alerted.
In the UK you can't work on a tourist visa and you can't change your visa in the UK. You need to go home and apply from there.
