Why we should allow felons to recieve the Z visa.?

Part of the immigration bill states that except for violent crimes, illegal immigrants even with felonies can recieve the Z visa. I keep hearing that illegal immigrants are here to work hard and perform no other crimes, because of fear of being caught. Well those who were caught performing serious crimes are allowed to still get a Visa according to the immigration reform bill that was floated in the Senate. The reason I was given why we should let the illegal immigrants stay was to get rid of the bad ones and let in the good ones, but according to the bill, we would have to accept most of the bad ones too. What reason should we accept illegal immigrants who also commited a felony?

Answer:
I agree. Kennedy was saying that would bar people with 'ordinary immigration offenses' but I don't consider having already had your day in court, gotten a deportation order and then absconding 'ordinary' even on the immigration front. When exactly WOULD they follow the law?

I think the original amendment should have been adopted, and the fact that they voted it down and voted down a ban on sanctuary cities is part of what makes me think that enforcement is not really on their list.
Felons, do not qualify pendejo, do not assume if you do not know the rules yet. Plus, is not up to you to accept as you wrote.

Hi Slew,I don't believe they said felonies.3 misdemeanors can even get them deported so I doubt if a felony would be allowed.I don't know anymore.I guess we have to wait until they make the new amendments available to see what is going on.I'd hate to quote the old bill and it wasn't true anymore.

Really,I've been really busy so haven't had much time since the first didn't pass last week.This is new since then?
At one point last week when I had read the ammendments, they had voted down an ammendment on the felonies and other criminals. Then it was replaced with an ammendment that said gang members, those who have sexual assult (or something to that effect) and other violent crimes were to be banned. Unless I read it wrong (and it is possible although I don't think I did read it wrong) that ammendment had passed. Because I remember reading the first part thinking how stupid it was they voted it down, then reading further down and thinking, oh thats why - they were being more specific about who would qualify, and who would not. I just went to see if I could find it, and I couldn't because they have everything condensed down, and it is 3:30 AM and I am heading to bed, but below is the link where I originally saw the information.
i have a copy i got off the net saying gang bangers is eligible. it's crazy, and i can't believe kennedy,mccain and bush wants this pushed.
