What do you think about the new blocking feature on Y/A?

I think it is silly.Of course people will never agree.Some will even get nasty, but I still believe in free speech.

I thought it was was pretty neat too. Then I got talked out of blocking people. Then this one chick.. OK two chicks just pissed me off. One keeps saying how she is a Smart American. But when it comes down to it she is more for the illegals then for the AMERICAN PEOPLE, and her son is in Iraq? thanks mom for the support!. So she got blocked AGAIN! Then that Glitter.. pain in the neck is forever blocked. Both of her accounts so far. I will listen to both sides but when they start talking about how the illegals have rights and whatnot it's time to block them!
I think it is a fine idea. My belief is there are many in the politics and government sections who really serve no purpose other than to rile up people and get under people's skin. A lot of these people just want attention so them saying the most outlandish things to incite responses gets them off. The best way to deal with these people is to just ignore them and they will self deport.
MyTend.com was already set up to muzzle certain views before they came out with this blocking feature. It's much easier to get your answers pulled or account terminated if you disagree with the pro-amnesty propoganda machine. Be careful what you post if it's the least bit politically incorrect. I can't believe some of the inflammatory language I see here that never gets pulled, simply because it falls right in line with Yahoo's loony political flavor. It's just the nature of the game here. And don't think for a second this block feature is really protecting you. Someone discovers you have blocked them.. and they just go to one of their other 20 accounts and resume their activities.
Yeah, you're right...they shouldn't even make the questions, that you are blocked from seeing, visible. But as far as the feature.I can take it or leave it. I really don't want to block anyone...well...except that glitter person.
Still don't know why wicked blocked me. She said she only blocks trolls and, well, I'm not a troll. It kinda hurt my feelings.

It makes it harder for those who wants to get people suspended, but I could see it being abused as well.
I like it,it's helping me narrow down who keeps having things deleted,i've already discovered one guilty party.
