Would anyone really be pissed if America declared a language, obviously English?
Answer:
Yes, those people that would have to start conducting their business in English, those people that would have to deal with Government services in English only, and those people that feel entitled to come here from somewhere else (no matter where it is) and continue to speak their own language and who also refuse to learn English.
Why, It is what we speak in America. Seems logical.
Nope. I would not be angry at all. It makes sense to me.
I wouldn't care if they declared Japanese our language. I have better things to worry about!
If you mean English as the national language, I would love it! La Raza and the ACLU would raise 9 kinds of hell.
Not at all...
Que????
Mostly those who want Spanish to be on the same level as English
I wouldn't be but I can't speak for everyone.

“We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language, for we intend to see that the crucible turns our people out as Americans, and not as dwellers in a polyglot boarding house.”

“Language is a unifying instrument which binds people together. When people speak one language they become as one, they become a society.”

No, it is the primary language. I'd love it.
