All these people right here needing help and assistant and all this energy is directed towards helping criminals from some other country.
I've heard some say "oh if you can't find a job in America you are not trying", excuse me there used to be 12 - 15 million jobs for Americans that have been stolen by illegals.

They need to give it up. Illegals have no rights in the country they invade. Enforce our laws.
Those fighting for rights of others need to worry about Americans who were already here. As you mentioned, we have our own problems with the homeless, poor, failing schools, etc. Anyone who is a true American would worry about what we have in our own yards before helping illegal people who shouldn't have been here yet until they applied the correct way.
I agree with the statement that if you can't find a job in the US you aren't looking. I do believe we need to enforce the laws when it comes to illegals. Get the employers, get the landlords. Enforce the laws we already have. That should help. As far as the ones here now, well we can't round up12-20 million people and just start shipping them home. It's an impossibility. You have to offer them something in return for them to "come out of the shadows." It's a big problem that needs a big solution not just band-aids. Fix Mexico, forget about Iraq.

There is some truth to the fact that many illegal immigrants work jobs that Americans won't. I can't remember the last time I heard a teenage girl consider doing housekeeping as a summer job. Nor can I remember the last time I heard a teenage guy say he was going to pick fruits and vegetables for extra income. No one graduates high school and runs down to the local meat packing plan to turn in their resume.

And Chad, there is a flyer right now in the local gas station where I live from two young girls who are born and raised Americans of Norwegian decent. They are asking for odd jobs for the summer, housekeeping, yard work, babysitting, farm chores. or other odd jobs. They are 14 and 13 and should have no problem getting some work, all the illegals around here are making $9-15 per hour at the factories, they wouldn't lower themselves to do white peoples work like yard work or farm chores for such low wages. Also we used to all go trim Christmas trees while we were in high school, now we can't because the illegals do it cheaper. We were paid $3.15 per hour in 1983 to do it. And I have worked in 3 food processing plants, the pay is good but unless you can talk Spanish don't bother applying, only the people hiring talk English, the people who will do your training will get upset with you and not want you in their areas because you can't follow their directions that they give in Spanish.
