As a registered voter (legal citizen) how angry are you getting that they are insisting that they shove this?

I have had it with the illegals issue and no longer consider it as something that should even be discussed.
It is over so why do they keep bringing it up?
Amnesty is not supposed to pass,the Senate already voted against it so why are they still talking about it?
If you'll remember right just before 9/11 occured President Bush was discussing dropping the border between us and Mexico to allow anyone to come and go as they please.
Then after 9/11 he was sidetracked into trying to get Congress to declare war on terror and put his Mexican pet project temporarily on hold until he could have his war.
Then after he got his war he then turned his attention back to the Mexicans to try to get all of them to invade us.
So it's been his plan from the very beginning to bring as many of them over here as possible.
He has blatantly gone against the wishes of the very people who he represents and is showing favoritism for people who he does not represent and obviously has an agenda which is not in our best interest but is only in the best interest of himself and the big corporations who bought him.
We still have a whole year and a half to put up with this guy and I'm wondering how much worse can it get between now and then?
How much more damage can he do to us before the end of his final term is up?
I was speaking to a fellow Conservative just the other day who said that even though he does allot wrong and makes allof of mistakes we should still keep in mind that he is our President and give him the respect that he deserves for being who he is.
Ok,so does that mean that if you are playing 'follow the leader' and the one doing the leading is headed right for the edge of a cliff and you know it, you should still follow him and respect him for being the leader?
I'm sorry but I am not one of those who will follow someone I know is leading me in the wrong direction and doesn't even care about what happens to me.
I will NOT have respect for someone like that who I'm supposed to be able to trust but can't.
Just think about what will happen to you if amnesty passes.
Prisoners who are currently locked up will demand amnesty for themselves.
People who are about to be prosecuted will demand they be granted amnesty as well.
People by the millions who have knowingly broken our laws will be rewarded for it and will in turn spit on us even more than they already do.
We will be flooded with millions upon millions more of illegals from all over the world.
And I recently heard Ted Kennedy tried to have a bill passed that would require anyone with a spare bedroom to house an illegal and it would be racist for them to refuse and to consider it a hate crime.
Also consider how this will affect our already over burdened hospitals and schools and job shortages along with our weakening social security system and everything else.
If Bush passes amnesty you can say goodbye to ALL of that and much much more as well.
The middle class will be wiped out and in it's place we will only have the very rich and the very poor with nothing in between.
So why is our President trying so hard to ruin America the very Nation he swore an oath to serve,uphold and protect?

I don't like it. As a descendant of immigrants, I have no problem at all with immigration. I just want it to be done legally! Don't punish the people who are following the rules by letting all of the illegals stay.

Hope your question makes it through the chop; I voiced my opinion and got a lot of responses before the editors decided to remove it. I support the need to clean the mess up but giving amnesty is not the right answer. If that happens I want amnesty when I get a speeding ticket, when I am late with my taxes or underpay them, when I fail to show up for jury duty, or pay my utility bill. If we can allow people to illegally enter the United States and remain here illegally then thank them and give them amnesty then I should have the same benefit - turn your back on crimes I (and all U S citizens) may commit!
I am livid. If anyone wants to immigrate here, there are legal ways to do it. I am tired of paying taxes to support illegals through welfare, medicaid, food stamps, free medical care, language classes, etc. If their own countries don't care about them, why should I ? The old argument of just wanting to come here to work is becoming a joke. Just check with the LA county court system to see how many illegals are in jail for committing crimes. The numbers are staggering and climbing. Round them up and send them back, especially those on welfare.
It's politics at its absolute worst. The republicans want it because the price of labor will go down. The democrats want it because they believe if these folks become voters they will vote democratic. Pretty much all we can do it let our voices be heard and when the next election comes around, vote the bums out.
I am absolutely livid. Despite the polls, despite their approval ratings, despite common sense, these politicians are hell bent on passing this shamnesty. It should be abundantly clear that these politicians just don't care. This is pretty much a dealbreaker. If they get away with shoving this down our throats then we have lost total control of our government. This will no longer be a government by the people for the people. It will be a government by the political elites for the political elites and, oh by the way, F the people.

It ticks me off. but something that ticks me off even more is hearing the congress (both houses, both parties) talk about how much they want to control the border and control illegal immagration and in the intrest of national security. But two Border Patrol Officers are still sitting in prision for doing there jobs!!! If I'm not mistakened didn't Bush pardon some drug dealers at Christmas time? You don't hear anyone talking about how much that amnesty is going to cost the Tax payers in welfare,

I'm very angry, and if this bill passes I'm afraid there will be civil war. Bush is not listening to the people. However, many politicians are beginning to see the light, due to all the phone calls and e-mails they have been receiving. Keep up the pressure, NO AMNESTY!

I'm angry that the d*mn Democrats want to shove this down our throats. That they have told Bush that his loyal Republicans are failing to stand behind him on this one. I even heard that Janet Murguia (President of La Raza) claims that We the American people were represented in the creating of this bill. And Murguia also said that there was no secret behind closed door meetings in writing this bill. She claims that 65% of us are for this bill. So I am extremely angry, and beyond after hearing that crock of bull.
The only ones who are still taking a stance against this bill are the Senators, and Congress members that we have all contacted. And to my joy - that upsets Bush because they told him they've made up their minds, and are not changing their stance. So if Janet Murguia thinks that we were represented in it's creation - I wonder what she's thinking now that We have it stalled and hopefully dead until we are truly represented, and have a say in the creation of it.
