I'm not sure the percentage, but the fact is that thousands come here everyday, making the illegal population into the 12 millions.
Compared to a hundred some million citizens, it doesn't sound like much, except when you look at the cities they illegally come into.
El Paso, TX, San Diego CA, Tuscon, AZ, they have the highest amounts of illegals, and the federal policy does nothing to help the tax payers of those cities. Instead, the tax payers have to pay more medicare for those illegals going to hospitals and having illegal babies there, free of charge to them, it is the tax payer's health care that goes up, if you haven't noticed.
Illegals want all of the benefits of the US, but none of the responsibilities, like paying taxes. They would rather sue the government because the school doesn't teach in Spanish, which they have said gives their illegal children an unfair disadvantage in the schools.
What is ridiculuous about this theory??? 1, that I would hop the border illegally and demand the Mexican government to start speaking some English to me, or 2, that our government actually listens to the illegal voice that is NOT democracy..
I'm not a Mexican hater, but I am so sick of paying for them just to come here and sap everything out of any culture they can and ask the government for a handout in the meantime.this isn't true for all, of course, but parading around, taking off of work to make a demonstration,,,,,,come on.

Anything would have to be a guess, since by definition it is not something which statistics are maintained. As most illegals are Mexican or Central American and to a lesser extent Chinese and South American. Of course, there are even some which are Irish, Canadian and Eastern European .
I would guess that about 60-70% would be Mexican because of its proximity, economy and population.
