Best to go to the nearest US embassy/consulate in your area and apply for a US visa. Make sure you bring all the necessary documents.
Go to the American embassy, they probably have all the information you need. It shouldn't be that hard, many of my friends in grad school were indian and they didnt seem to have a problem.
