Yep . Found out 3 years ago that despite living here all my life , working , 4 years in the US military (honorably), wife , kids . Paid a few grand for an attorney, waited 3 full years, got biometrics and finally got it . Before it came though I wasnt able to renew my license , wasnt able to collect unemployment benifits nor get another job ( unless I wanted to go underground like the illegals ).I did everything by the rules in spite of its seeming adsurdity to be , since i always thought I was American . Seems the system is set up to benefit those who cheat the system
