As this island does not have an indigenous population (none of the varieties of human that there are started here) we are all immigrants including your ancestors. Please try reading a book or maybe getting an education before you post your nonsense on here. You just sound like a bigoted idiot.
I'm an immigrant, though in the United States, not Britian. I emmigrated from Britain because I married an American and we decided together that for family reasons it was better for me to live with him in the USA than for him to move to the UK. Some time in the future we may both move to Britain when his family here no longer need us.
Simple reason is love.
yes i am. i'm glad i have the chance to get this straight. i dont get free healthcare, benefits, unemployment etc. cos my South African passport clearly states "no recourse to public funds". I came here to see another part of our massive world because my boyfriend's mom lived here and he wanted to spend some time with her. I fully intended on going back home after 2 years or less. But shortly after I moved here my boyfriend, at the time, and I broke up. I was left all alone in a country i didnt know and missed home like crazy. Thankfully, I had made some great friends and had some support. At the time I was about ready to go home, when i met this wonderful guy I worked with, who is now my husband for the last 2 years. And now, i still try to convince him everyday to move to SA but I love him enough to sacrifice that and stay with him here in the UK. My heart is still in SA, thats my home and will always be and if my husband would move, i'd move back in a heartbeat. I feel very hurt when immigrants get treated in a bad way because sometimes its just circumstances. It upsets me when people say we come here and take their jobs when i know dam well that there are people out their fit enough to work but would rather sit on their lazy asses claiming benefits. I have been told by my English boss that alot of companies like employing foreigners because they are much more hard working. I hope people learn to see my point of view dont say "you married for a visa" cos i certainly didnt. I know there are people out there who do it, but alot of us are just plain innocent and in love. I hope this broadens your outlook on us immigrants.
I thought that we have progressed with tolerance understanding and love for our fellow man. I am very wrong.
v all are immigrants in this universe
yes, i was. Many many years ago ( 15) i came here - as i was inloved with UK. I am now fully Brit Cit and but i dont have all the " benefits" that one expects. I never had and still don't get things for free - have a great job and i am lucky to be able to get things privately. I never received benefits and hope never to have to. Coming to UK was the bravest thing I even did. If I regret it? No !! Its the best thing ever.
I came to the UK to help the British to:
Eat proper food - check
Work hard and be hopeful - check
Think beyond drinking, football and sex - check

I was born in the US. My husband is a naturlized citizen. He came here 35 years ago from a communist country. He left his country because he was a free spirted person who didn't thrive under such strict control. He was a young man who couldn't see himself working in a factory 10 to 12 hours a day 6 days a week.Being told not to listen to Rock n Roll music from the evil west. The police used to ca tch he and his friends and cut off their long hair.If you were single you hadto live with your parents for ever since only people with children got apts. There were no apts. for rent only if you were lucky to find one they had beds for rent.He only happened to come to America because the US was the first country to invite himto come. Yes,he was actually invited to come. He had a very high skilled trade and during the Vietnam War years he was needed in the US manufacturing industry. He went through a year long wait in a refugee camp while Interpol did a background check on him before allowing him into the states.I believe he really was an asset to the US.
Money/// freebies short prison terms,,, mug peoples and get punished with a big plastic ankle braclet,,, if i get hungry steal and get punished more,, community service etc etc.. jump the housing list becouse im trouble,, or a immigrant.. VOTE LABOUR..i will be
American born.
Grandparents were German/Native American/African American/French.
As far as being tolerant of Immigrants, I don't believe that has ever been the problem. The problem is the ILLEGAL Immigrants. ILLEGALLY in the US and getting assistance while ILLEGAL. They are the ones that make the process ugly for the good people that want to come to our country.
If US born CITIZENS have to pay for crimes, then non US born ILLEGALS should be punished.
I am a student here- my father has several house here in England. I live in Knightsbridge that has many nice boutique and salon for my wife and child to shopping.
Pratomo "Tommy" Suharto the son of President Suharto own golf one maybe two in Surrey and sold house one of largest in UK to Saudi Prince of Faud.
I study at the University of London and then I return to my nation Indonesia, where I take up position in military bureaucracy.
The health care- I do not understand- in my nation we must everyone pay for doctor rich or poor- there is no Medic-aid or what is called here?
Why does English person allow the many peasant into this nation but is very difficult for the aristocrat from my nation to enter UK- although many visit as guest of Mrs Thatcher government?
It is difficult for to understand why for you allow entry to those who have no UK asset or money in UK bank account.
i was a migrant in britain for a short while, i hated every second i was there. i hated myself for taking jobs from the locals but i did add to the local economy. why did i go there? because i wanted a change of scenery and people thats all, i didnt go for the money, hell i made more here in ireland before i left i was just bored with life. i left britain 6 months later because i was left high and very dry after being paid off. so i thought to myself "do i claim dole, or do i go home where i belong?" so i cleared my bank account and partied hard and came back to ireland never to leave again.
