When you stand before God on judgment day how will you answer Him when He asks you if you obeyed His word?
Do not go over your vineyard a second time or pick up the grapes that have fallen. Leave them for the poor and the alien. I am the LORD your God.
Leviticus 19:33
" 'When an alien lives with you in your land, do not mistreat him.
Leviticus 19:34
The alien living with you must be treated as one of your native-born. Love him as yourself, for you were aliens in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.
Leviticus 25:35
" 'If one of your countrymen becomes poor and is unable to support himself among you, help him as you would an alien or a temporary resident, so he can continue to live among you.
Deuteronomy 10:17-19
17 For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes. 18 He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the alien, giving him food and clothing. 19 And you are to love those who are aliens, for you yourselves were aliens in Egypt.
Answer:
I'm planning on having His Son represent me.
If that somehow falls through, God will know how and why I have succeeded and/or failed.
Sorry, the Flying Spaghetti Monster is the one true God.
By the way, how about Leviticus 25:45-46:
"Moreover of the children of the strangers that do sojourn among you, of them shall ye buy, and of their families that are with you, which they begat in your land: and they shall be your possession."
"And ye shall take them as an inheritance for your children after you, to inherit them for a possession; they shall be your bondmen for ever: but over your brethren the children of Israel, ye shall not rule one over another with rigour."
So, that certainly justifies slavery. Still like your Leviticus now?
I will tell God no I did not always obey your word. But I tried my best.
Anybody that says to God "Yes I obeyed your every word" will be a lieing and will be cast off to hell.
Wasn't there also something in there about an eye for an eye? I like that part.
?
I will simply reply "Lord I did my best. Often I failed, but I did the best I could."
I will tell Him that I asked Jesus, who took my sin upon Him and died upon the cross, to be my Lord and Savior. I'm so grateful that on that day He won't see my shortcomings and my inability to keep His law perfectly, but He will instead see His Son's sacrifice.
Don't care! I just want the illegals out at any and all costs!
tell the truth: works with people and god loves you no matter what u do!
levitus 25:35-i shall do it obey it becoz if i am helping any one then when i will suffer then god will also sent any one to weed me from my problem .
He would like to know a lot more than what you are insinuating sister! Like did you not commit adultery? Did you not hate thy brother(whiteman) and covet him? Did you not pass judgement on thy neighbor? Did you not condone homsexuality like I detest? Did you KILL your unborn? Have a great day muchacha!!!!!!!!...
I'll look around and ask, Where are all the White people??
I would simply say, " But God, there are millions of them and they are f*cking up my vineyard".
I have made my mistakes, and ready to meet my master,,but my legal children who have earned their rights and benefits here, "deserve" them,,,,,,,plain and simple,,,,
I think He's going to ask me, "How come you kept letting in all those illegals aliens who are too ashamed and disgraceful to have not followed the rules?".
I have actually READ the Bible, and am also fluent enough in it's passages and meanings to pick and choose verses to support just about ANY theory, inlcuding this one:
Romans 13:1-2 "Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God."
and this one:
1 Peter 2:13-15 "Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human institution, whether to a king as the one in authority, or to governors as sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and the praise of those who do right. For such is the will of God that by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish men.”
Not being a member of one of the twelve tribes of Israel, the alien could not own land. Consequently, the alien was grouped together with widows and orphans to receive a portion of the tithe (Deut. 14:28-29), access to the gleanings in the field (Deut. 24:19-22) and justice (Deut. 24:17-18). However, these provisions did not apply to the foreigner temporarily in the country for work or other purposes. These temporary visitors did not receive a food allotment and were not allowed to fully participate in society.
We know that God wants us to treat aliens fairly, but the biblical example shows a greater responsibility to those who meet the requirements to become residents.
Desiring more opportunity for your family is commendable. However, choosing to break the law to achieve that goal is telling God that He cannot be trusted to provide.
The Bible's message isn't simply to welcome everyone and not ask anything of them in return. Instead, the scripture teaches a middle way that asks us to welcome "strangers"--but also requires these guests to take on moral and civic responsibility in their adopted land.
When I am face-to-face with my maker and His Son, I will say "My Lord and God, you already know my deeds, good and bad. I learned your Word so that I could educate others. I fell from grace often, and I fell from grace hard several times, but I never abandoned my faith."
I missed the part where Jesus said for the Isrealites to destroy Rome by immigration - can you give me that?
I was kind of betting on the whole forgiveness thing would cover most everything
