Excuse my political incorrectness, but weren't the Pilgrims illegal immigrants, too?
Answer:
No, they were legal aliens. Their colony was fully approved, in advance.
I take it you do not believe in sending humans into space with the goal of setting up colonies and space stations, right?
Who cares about pilgrims?! They were all dead by the time America was established. Indians didn't have nations with like land. I thought they don't believe in ownership of lands. They were just a bunch of nomads that didn't contribute to society or technology.
you used the word illegal what law did they break we are a Nation of immigrates and of laws all legal peoples are welcome but if your going to snub the laws here stay there
You, Sir, are more than politically incorrect, you're just plain incorrect. The pilgrims werent illegal aliens, if you want ot get right down to it, they were invaders. The Indians were barely out of the stone age, and they were conquered by a more technologically advanced people. The same thing has happened throughout human history. The Indians fought a war and they lost. End of story. They deserve no more respect than any other conquered people. That is what the Human race has always done, spread through warfare. Not nice, but true.
Now for the hordes of Hispanics flowing into our country: if we were allowed to sit on our border and kill them as they tried to cross, and they fought their way in, more power to them. However, they sneak across with the help of the Mexican government which doesnt want them and would rather pawn them off on us, and then we're supposed to feel sorry for them. No. They are not wanted, not welcome, and the American public is slowly coming to realize that they are criminals leeching away at the fabric of American society and need to be put out, by force if necessary.
I have often thought the same question.
