What if i' m a non-immigrant an i got married to a us citizen would i become a us citizen?
Answer:
No. You won't become anything. Your American spouse can apply for an immigrant visa for you. If it's approve you could move here and get a Green Card which can lead to citizenship.
If you already here, as an illegal alien, and entered the country illegally, you'll be forced to leave and wait in your home country until everything is approved.
NO.
Maybe, you still have to fill out the forms, pay the fees, and undergo the background check. As long as you aren't a felon in your home country and your spouse makes enough money to support you then you should be able to.
A "non" immigrant?
No you wouldnt become a citizen until you took the citizenship test. I think there is a lot of work behind it too from what I hear.
no to become a US citizen you have to take a class then a test. however if you marry a US citizen you are allowed to stay here without a green card.
only if you married before 1924, but the American can petition for your immigrant visa/green card, then 3 years later you would be eligible to apply for citizenship.
If you are a non-immigrant then you are already a U.S. citizen.
