Fiance here on a student visa, what immigration forms do I need and how/when to complete them?
Another question I have is we live in Texas but we're getting married in Vegas, is that ok or do we need to get married in Texas? Are there good websites that explain the steps needed or anything? I want everything to be right the 1st time.
Thanks!
Answer:
You can be married in Las Vegas and you have to wait until you are married before you can submit your I-130 along with your G-325a and a G-325a for him, these will be sent to the USCIS in TX, then after you have confirmation you will need to do a I-129f, another G-325a for you and one for him along with a I-134 these will be sent to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, P.O. Box 7218, Chicago, IL 60680-7218
The best thing is to go right to USCIS and ask for the VISA package for a spouse and it will contain all of the above forms which is what I have done.
Congratulations. Immigration is so complexed and submitting the wrong form may cause you delay or problems in the future. If you can not afford to hire an immigration lawyer, consult with a paralegal who specialize in immigration policy.
