Arizona was sued, on behalf of illegal immigrants, and reinterpreted federal law to consider maintenance?

dialysis to be emergency care. They can receive dialysis therapy in Mexico if they return home. Do you agree that ongoing dialysis treatment is emergency care?

Answer:
Your link states that this is end care renal treatment,
these people are in the final stages of life, each treatment
is critical to their survival and should be considered an
emergency because their chances of living are very small.

My mother is on dialysis and if she does not get her
dialysis treatments she can die. Most dialysis patients
receive treatment 3 times per week, the first treatment
may be an emergency but then the illegal should be shown
the border by armed escorts.

Illegal aliens on end care dialysis should be placed in an
ambulance equipped with portable dialysis and transported
back to their home country.

The cost of 1 dialysis treatment where I live is $16,000,
I don't mind paying for our own citizens that need the care
but I don't want to pay for illegals treatment. Especially when
the care is available in their own country.
Wish we would pass a law that would make it illegal to treat someone who cannot prove their citizenship (minus children of course). That would fix part of the problem.
Illegal means illegal, whats the debates all about.
I can see it as an emergency 1 or 2 times. Thereafter, it is maintenance care, and they would know that it would have to be done a couple times a week. They would have time to get back in their country to receive their care. It should not be our responsibility. They shouldn't cry unless they have the cash in hand to pay for their services upfront the same way my doctor and ER wants my co-payments now; up front before services are rendered.

I would tell them welcome to America. This is the way it is. If they didn't like it, they know where to go. I don't always have the money at unexpected visits. Why should they get special treatment when they don't belong here?

To Panero: Well Panero, why should our taxes pay for that, hmmmmm? Give me one good reason?

It's nice to find out that illegals do have some rights and say in this country in the court system...free treatment wow.

Just think, when I was in a car accident I have a 80/20 medical insurance plan and I am still paying of my 20% to the hospital that I can't afford. It makes me wonder what I'm doing wrong by doing the right thing?
IF YOUGET A SUGAR COMA IS A EMERGENCY SO DIALISIS TREATMENT IS VERY ACCEPTABLE!!
Just another case of our system being milked by ILLEGAL immigrants. Go figure.......
Ok let's get it right illegal immigrants shouldn't have any rights at all, let alone the right to have Arizona sued to make the state basically change any law, whether it is emergency care or not. They are illegal, they have broken the law just by coming into the US.
Thrilled for getting paid by the State? Hmmmm, who actually gives the money to pay for the illegal aliens to get that treatment I wonder aloud? Could it be the CITIZENS OF ARIZONA THEMSELVES? AND we are told illegals don't get benefits at all!

Anyway, Emergency services are an entitlement to all people and hospitals can not turn away individuals in that situation without first assessment, treatment and stabilization to that patient regardless of status. Which does cost citizens everywhere in the end.

I know; but End Stage Renal disease is an emergency care situation. Without dialysis patients would keep getting admitted for care and released; It makes sense, just not a fan of how illegals got in on it too. That money that the State shells out should be for the poor of the State and those that qualify for AHCCCS because they fall below the Federal Poverty Level.
And people don't believe this contributes to bankruptcies of hospitals...sigh.
Maintenance tx is not emergency care.
The reinterpretation of law is unjust.
I am all for emergency care for people. People deserve to know they can be treated in an emergency. It would be wrong to not provide this for our fellow citizens. OOPS--did I say citizens? How horrible of me, how could I not want to give emergency care to illegal scum which shouldn't be here in the first place?
How did they sue a state, who went to court on their behalf? Don't tell me that they were in court and no one thought to tell them "tough s**t, your under arrest, time to go home now, bye bye."
Or did a lawyer go into court for them? If so, then he should have been arrested for treason as he was committing acts against the general welfare of the U.S. on behalf of foreign enemies of the country. Before any one jumps me about the enemy deal, check Aztlan out. These people are declared enemies of the US.
And MAINTENANCE care automatically makes emergency a nonoperative word.
Also, if I remember American Politics class, States cannot override or overrule Federal laws.
Round 'em up and deport them. The hospital should be required to report these invaders to DHS immediately upon entering the facility. Sure, give them... "emergency care", but have the... Federales... waiting for them as they leave.
I,m not surprised, before you know it we will have to fly them back and forth.
well i think its great than a lawsuit will get them to do what they know the Hippocrates rule say , which is to help the sick whoever who is not matter what , what its right ... if there are undocumented who are not able to pay the only ones to blame should be those which do not allow them to acquire medicaid , i mean they forbid them form getting it and then complain about how is it that they leave with out paying ! give me a break ! . this is the richest country in the world and to not help the sick just because we don't want to or because we think he may not deserve it is inexcusable
Maintenance dialysis IS emergency care. Without the needed dialysis, the person would die.

While your griping about the bills, you should know that what is breaking our hospitals and increasing costs to the taxpayers are the 47 MILLION Americans with NO health insurance and another 50 MILLION are underinsured..They CAN'T AFFORD IT!

Lay off the immigrants.
