ONLY criminals need "amnesty", so why bother to try and claim illegal aliens aren't all criminals?
Answer:
Since illegals are in the US in a time of war, anyone who rents to you, provides a job to you or gives you a license to drive is aiding and abetting an illegal alien - this is called treason in a time of war.
I hear that there are holding cells all over the US just waiting to be filled up with illegals. They are no longer just deporting - they're putting illegals in holding cells until the courts can find some time. It could take years to get through all of these illegals. In the meantime, we will be sending a bill to your president in Mexico.
ICE will be very busy - and many communities are establishing laws to allow the local police to give ICE a hand by rounding up illegals for the holding cells. I guess being a criminal in the US isn't such a good thing after all.
so true.
VIVA UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!!!! How 'ya like that glitterslut?
Tell that to Amnesty International (they campaign for human rights) Amnesty is defined as a pardon from government to a large group of individuals. And it usually applies to political crimes, if it applies to a crime at all. It can also mean a time period where you can admit to having done something, or relinquish illiegal materials without being prosecuted.
So you are comparing someone who is breaking the law in a political way (illegally entering the country) with someone who say, robs a bank or murders someone? Isn't that going a little far? And comparing a grace period where drugs and guns can be taken off the streets to being a crime?
I believe that using the word amnesty in connection with immigrant rights issues is wrong, as they are not being granted a pardon for previous bad acts, but are in truth being assigned more rights than they would have had otherwise, which is not amnesty.
Amnesty has possitive connotations. I think of people being saved from terrible dictators or unfair persecution, not immigrants getting a free ride. So I think they may have bungled their language in their effort to seem like they were doing something noble.
its pretty bad that mexicans dont even want to live in mexico
Accepting a pardon of any kind implies an admission of guilt. So yes.
Maybe Bush will grant you amnesty for your crimes of posing as a US veteran and federal law enforcement officer...ha ha
