This poorly written legislation was killed by an almost equal number of Democrats and Republicans. It was truly bipartisan killed and probably the only thing they worked together on for years. It further reinforces my dissatisfaction with Mr. Bush. Definitely time for him to go. His arrogant stand on this disgusting bill shows his Hispanic bias and lack of representation of mainstream America. I voted for him, and now regret that vote.
The issue with this bill was mainly the amnesty being bestowed upon some 12 million illegals here breaking our laws and refusing to assimilate into our culture. Poll after poll clearly showed that the general public did not want amnesty, yet the politicians continued on with their blind pursuit.
The lawful Americans are fed up with the poor performance of our congressional leadership and their refusal to represent the people that elected them. It took millions of people calling their respective elected representatives to convince them this was something that every poll showed, 82% of the legal population did not want amnesty. They are stupid if they cannot see this simple fact.

Don't be too hard on her, atleast she has convictions. She could make more money hiring illegals, but she has a policy to avoid them. If there are more por-amnesty like her, there would be far less illegal immigrants. As for the new bills coming up, they took the parts we hate the most and put it up for a vote. If this keeps going, they will take a suer thing, like the Democrats winning more seats in congress, into a Republican Rennaisance. Hopefully we will have no more Republican pretenders like Bush, screwwing up the Republicans.

If you really think about it in all angles, you too would arrive at the precise reality that so far the song remains the same or even better. Hopefully better! Such as all the great things that most anti's continued mentioning that Americans would benefit from the ridding of these illegals! I personally doubt that will be the case as will be the replacement of "farm workers" for starters. And those other myths.
Because of the sudden belated interest that for some reason had slipped by over how many years,legislation's,presidents... deaths?!
But all of a sudden well a year ago,became a hot topic! Surely the United States Of America isn't that naive is it?
