Norway employer to sponsor a US citizen to work in Norway?

Is it possible/easy/hard for an employer in Norway to sponsor a US citizen to work in the IT/computer related fields in Norway? Where can I find more information? I am a US citizen and looking for job in Norway because I will move to live there in early 2008.Thanks!

Answer:
It's possible, but not always quick. I'm an American living in Norway, and I own a software development firm here. We've hired a number of non-EU citizens, and the immigration process can be quite slow. I'd try to get an early start if I were you.

Where in Norway are you moving?
All such info can be found on the official site @ http://www.norway.no/
It depends upon your qualifications. I would suggest you learn Norwegian and possibly German to help you find a job. It can't hurt :)
